  1. Vidsnap Scraper View File DISCLAIMER: Use at your own risk! Please read and understand Youtube's terms of service. I will not be held liable for any mis-use of any product or service. This plugin makes use of the open source and unlicensed application, youtube-dl yt-dlp (forked from youtube-dl) to download game videos. It first downloads videos from the link provided in the metadata from LaunchBox, skipping videos longer than a specified duration, and then searching for videos for missing games based on input search terms. It is intended for Modern Windows games as this was my need initially. It may work on other platforms but is not well tested. Installation Instructions: Note: For this plugin to work, you will need to have yt-dlp.exe (included in .zip). Extract the contents of the .zip folder and place it in your LaunchBox plugins folder. Usage Instructions: Select a game or multiple games, right-click and select "Download Video Snap." Adjust the maximum duration if desired. The "Get Missing videos" checkbox sets whether or not to search for videos of games that don't have URL's in their metadata. The "Trim videos" checkbox sets whether or not to trim videos after it has been downloaded. Enter desired search terms for Missing videos. click "Start" to start the download process. Games will download asynchronously. resuming downloads is also supported natively. Known Issues: probably many that I am unaware of. Other: PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT A DEVELOPER! I know very little about C# and programming in general, thus probably wont be able to address many issues that you may face. That being said I will try and fix things were I can. I've provided the spagetti source code for anyone to modify, improve, etc. (it seems you need to unblock the forms in the "Resources" folder -> RMB->properties->unblock) As of now, i'm more comfortable with the usability of the plugin, however there are still probably many issues, any comments to provide insight/improvement to the code etc. would be much appreciated. Thanks to @srxz for his source of Youtube Scraper of which this is based. 2. Hey everyone - I was hoping that someone could help me out. Is there an easy way to determine which ROM files are missing the launch videos (as opposed to scrolling through every game in BigBox or comparing the ROM list to the video list manually)? Any help would be appreciated (before I spend hours looking through folders). Thanks!

  4. PopCap Media Pack - boxes, logos, videos, discs View File Hello All, Here is the PopCap media pack I have been working on for a while. There are 46 games in total. I could not find any existing art or packs to make this look good in Launchbox so I created this one. I hope you like it. My photoshop skills are amateur at best but for me, this is better than nothing. Enjoy! Included: 46 3d-boxes 46 box fronts 46 box backs 46 clear logos 46 videosnaps 46 Disc Images I only made the box artwork. I did not make the logos or the videosnaps. I would give credit to who did but I have no idea who it was and can not remember where I found them. Not: The video snaps are in .flv format. Launchbox has no issues with them on my system. I hope they work for all! Examples: Submitter cemfundog Submitted 10/31/2019 Category Game Media Packs
  5. I have all the Snes roms (No-Intro) renamed as they are in the Hyperspin XML DB (807 total). When I import the roms from Launchbox and check the Emumovies option (videos HQ), I only care about 300 videos when they should be at least 807. Why does this happen?
  6. Hello all, Can anyone tell me where the "auto play video" feature is for launchbox? It used to be under options. I cant seem to find it. Thanks.

I started these a while ago because I could not find any thing else at the time. Not sure if I missed something or not but I thought it would be cool to share these now that I finally finished them. What is here: 3D Boxes for every TouHou Game (I Think) A video snap for each game as well A custom disc image for each game I hope these help someone complete their setup. Enjoy! Full Disclosure: I did not make these video snaps and I can not remember where I got them but all credit goes to the person who did. I just wanted to share them and make it easier to find for others. PS: If I am missing any important TouHou games, please let me know what titles and I will make them.

  10. Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help. I'm getting a lot of lag when I'm moving between platforms in Bigbox - it's around 10-13 seconds for each right now. There are over 220 platforms in there and I thought this was the issue but I've just finished over 270 playlists and those videos are fine - click, wait 1-2 seconds, they play. I've tried several things including move them to their individual folders (A, B etc) with changes to the .xml files, defragging, moving the videos to an SSD drive and more. I'm not getting why they're quick in playlists but not in platforms. One of the videos is over 1GB, most are less than 50MB. They all have the same lag time. My system has an 8-core CPU, 6GB video, 32Gb RAM so it's not that. Has anyone seen this and successfully managed to speed these up?
  11. Hello, I have been looking around for a professional looking replacement to Steam Big Picture for a while now (tired of the lack of customization) , and Big Box looks like my best option, with the videos. I have seen two youtube videos of people setting it up but did not explain how. This is for PC games only, not emulation. Is this viable? I know its possible but does it work well? Is it possible to add my own videos demos (preferred), or an online database like emuvideos but for PC? If there was a trial for premium i would test it on my own but i couldn't find one. Thank you.
  12. Trying to finish the cleanup of my Big Box arcade machine. I've noticed that MAME games with the same name (Argus, Commando, D-Day, etc.) often import the wrong Theme and gameplay video (i.e., 1982's Commando by Sega has the 1985 Capcom Commando video). It's the same for the artwork. Try as I might with directly telling Launchbox what videos to use and then refreshing the game's content, it often doesn't work. I delete and re-import the videos, rename the videos (Commando Sega), etc., and Big Box displays the wrong video, even if Launchbox doesn't. (It helps when I completely exit out of Launchbox and then restart, but not always.) I also have the same for the artwork to those games, which keep coming back after I delete them through Launchbox; I now designate the wrong 3D boxes, screenshots, logos, etc. that are imported as "steam banners," since I don't use that in my theme and they won't show up. Clearly, I'm doing something wrong. I'm hoping someone can make this right. Thanks for any suggestions or solutions.
  13. Hi I got question - is there a way to filter games without videosnaps? I would like to spend my vacation on upadating games media but its hard to check every game if they have videosnaps, back cover, etc etc. It would be great if theres an option or tool that show me a list of games from selected platform that do not have videosnaps or back cover or music sample. Awaiting Your comments. Any help will be aprriciated.
