  2. Hi guys, With yesterday news from retroarch launching an xbox port (dev mode) on early 2019 I've been wondering, is it feasible to LaunchBox to do the same? Swiching between retail/dev mode to play new and retro games with the outstanding interface of LB would be amazing. Thank you,

  4. Hi all, I am wondering which are the best emulators for both Xbox classic and 360 right now even if they are in development. What I am aware at the moment is there is Cxbx and Xenia for each console. Appart from this, is there any way these emus (or other you may know) can open other compressed game extensions? I am squeezing my hard drive at the moment. Thanks a lot and have a good weekend
  5. Hi guys, I have just watched the tutorial on how to play Game Cube and Wii games on LaunchBox and what I don't get is the way to layout the xbox 360 controller. I have done it as in the video but I suspect maybe when selecting "classic" instead of nunchuk you go under a sub-setup, not the main layout on the controller section? I have attached a couple of pics showing my configuration. Hope you guys can help Many thanks in advance!

  9. Hey guys, I have this concept/idea for an Xbox Original theme (4:3 and 16:9 Ratio) and was wondering if anyone could make this concept a reality. Hyperkin has developed a new "Duke" controller for the Xbox One/PC so having the controller and a Big Box theme to match it would be cool in my opinion. I would develop it myself if I had any coding experience. Would anyone want to take a stab at it? Here's some images and a psd file of what I had in mind. 1920x1080 1600x1200 Template Xbox Original Dashboard with blur/noise effect Font I used: https://www.dafont.com/imagine-font.font PSD Files: Xbox_Original_Theme.psd Xbox_Original_Theme_2.psd

  14. Hi guys, A few weeks ago I set out on the task of making myself a HTPC, but I wanted something special, so I shoved a whole computer inside of an original xbox case. Finished Product: Specs (Already had some components from previous build): PCPartPicker part list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/K4Z7bj CPU: Intel - Core i5-7600 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£201.00 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Silverstone - AR06 40.2 CFM CPU Cooler (Purchased For £0.00) Motherboard: ASRock - H270M-ITX/ac Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard (£108.16 @ BT Shop) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (£112.98 @ Ebuyer) Storage: Western Digital - Green 120GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive (£52.31 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Seagate - Momentus SpinPoint 2TB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For £0.00) Storage: Seagate - Archive 8TB 3.5" 5900RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For £0.00) Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Low Profile Video Card (£138.16 @ CCL Computers) Power Supply: SeaSonic - 300W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular Flex ATX Power Supply (£60.00) Other: NOCTUA NF-A6x25 PWM (£11.90) Other: Original Xbox (£15.00) Total: £699.51 Some Comments: Graphics card never reaches 65c~ under load Processor almost never reaches 70c~ under load I was really worried the small FlexATX power supply would sound like a jet as its basically a server power supply, but the fan is completely silent, even under load. I had to check that the fan was working as I was getting worried but all is good! Fans are audible in a quiet room but any noise will drown them out (like from a TV). Side fan is set to silent, I don't think I needed to use it with the middle cut out and meshed. Runs Windows 10 Enterprise with a custom shell that boots into Kodi for TV, Movies, Music, etc. Has the option to launch BigBox for emulation. It can run anything up to and including Wii U games (Although that emulator is still in development!). Build Log Album (Has lots of comments on how I made it): http://imgur.com/gallery/V3G2j If you guys have any questions feel free to ask
  15. As of currently writing this, there are no proper highly functional emulators for all 3 of the Xboxes. There are however PC ports of a lot of these games. Those made after 2008/09 even have button mapping for the 360/One controller as standard, so it feels like playing on those consoles (with of course better graphics). However on Launchbox all PC games (aside from DOS) are all lumped into the Windows Games group on the side bar. My question is this: is it possible to create new console groupings in the side bar, so that I can split my PC games into the relevant Xbox generations ? So that instead of just saying Windows Games, I can have the PC ports of the games I played on those consoles matched up to the relevant eras.
  16. Its not perfect. But it is a start.

  19. Morning fellow Arcadian's As the title points out I currently have an issue with my Xbox Wireless Controller (Bluetooth) with connection to the emulator WinUAE (current version v3.4.0), when launching through Launchbox (current version as of 28/02/17). I currently have Launchbox setup to launch all my emulators and games via Rocketlauncher (current version v1.0.1.10 with latest driver updates as of 28/02/17). Now all the other emulators I have installed and setup through Rocketlauncher work without a hitch with my Xbox Wireless Controller. I have read up that WinUAE is susceptible to issues with the Xbox Wireless Controller via bluetooth and in order to get round this you need to put the following parameter '-norawhid' in at execution. I have tried this on the standalone WinUAE (applied to the icon startup parameter field), and this works perfectly with the Xbox Wireless Controller. However I cannot seem to pass the '-norawhid' within the Launchbox emulator setup area for Rocketlauncher. Just to explain how I have setup Launchbox with Rocketlauncher a bit more clearly. I have Rocketlauncher as my only emulator for all the associated systems/platforms that I use in Launchbox and within the 'Associated Platforms' field in Launchbox I pass the following command line to Rocketlauncher: -f "Z:\Launchbox\Launchbox,exe" -p RocketLauncherUI -s "Commodore Amiga" -r This command then works in conjunction with the Rocketlauncher's setup for the platform (i.e.), 'Commodore Amiga' which I have left as default...due to the complexity of Rocketlauncher and my shameful small understanding of this beast!! Now I have tried placing the parameter '-norawhid' into this commandline, but it does not register on the excution of WinUAE via Rocketlauncher and as mentioned my understanding of Rocketlauncher is severely limit. I cannot seem to understand how to enter additional parameters to the WinUAE (Commodore Amiga), platform in Rocketlauncher at all....aaaahhh!!!! As I've mentioned above this setup works with no problems with all the other platforms setup with Launchbox/Rocketlauncher - so my question (which I can appreciate may be more a Rocketlauncher forum topic!), has anyone else had this issue of passing the '-norawhid' parameter in a similar scenario and succeeded or can anyone shed a light on my frustration due to my limited abilities here?? Many thanks in advance - Chris C. Software used version recap: Launchbox - v7.7 Rocketlauncher - v1.0.1.10 + Latest Drivers WinUAE - v3.4.0
  20. I was wondering if there is a way to add a place for controls/controller icons. Purpose/example: In my DOS collection there are some games i am able to play with a controller/joystick and others I am able to play with Keyboard and Mouse. It would be cool to see an Icon of say a controller (allow different controller icons to be selected such as PS4 or XBOX360/ONE Controller) or a Keyboard/Keyboard Mouse. This would also be beneficial for Wii Games since they use various controllers and controller addons this would help to quickly see what controller would need/supported to be used (such as the wiimote, nunchuck, pro controller...) Icon Ideas: Xbox 360/one, PS4, Wiimote, wii nunchuck, Wii pro controller, arcade stick, nes, snes, keyboard, mouse, KB/Mouse, joystick What do you think? 21. I'll start by stating that I did indeed search and wasn't able to find info on this topic. I apologize if it exists. Issue Wireless Xbox One controllers in Windows 10 stop working in some emulators after a reboot or if controllers are powered off and back on. Steps to Reproduce Connect wireless Xbox One controllers to Windows 10 and verify they work. I connected 4 of them and verified they work via the Windows 10 game controller control panel app. Open each emulator, map controls for each controller, and test by launching a game. Reboot Windows 10, connect controllers, and attempt to play a game in each emulator. Details Dolphin had this issue as well as MAME and either Nestopia or SNES9x (can't remember). My best guess is that Windows 10 assigns some sort of unique device ID to a Wireless Xbox One controller every time it is connected. When configuring the controllers within each emulator they seem to be referencing these controllers as expected; Joy(0), Joy(1), Joy(2), Joy(3). Whether I use 1 controller, or 4, they are always the same 4 controllers so it wouldn't really matter to me which one becomes Joy(0), Joy(1), etc because I could just try each one until I determine which controller is player 1. Unfortunately something is happening that causes the controllers to not respond at all. It is as if they are not configured in the emulators anymore. Re-configuring them works so I assume these controllers just appear to the emulators as a device they have never seen before. Question How can I maintain the controller configuration for these controllers between connections and reboots? Thank you in advance to all who can shed some light on this. (I am using Launchbox and it is awesome but it does not pertain to this issue) My Emulators Nestopia UE 1.47 SNES9x 1.53 Project64 2.3 Dolphin 5.0 MAME 0.175
