falcon 1 Posted November 6, 2016 (edited) I am working on building a full size cabinet and trying to make a decision on what buttons and joysticks to use. For button I don't care about LED lights but want the concave buttons. Happ is the type that I am used to. Is Happ the way to go or is there somebody else that makes a button like them. Joysticks also I like the older american type the bat type. I was looking at the Mag-Stick Plus which lets you change from 4 way to 8 way by pulling the stick up and turning it. Any help or guidance would be great. Also if anybody needs a questions answered be my guest and ask you questions here also. Thanks Edited November 6, 2016 by falcon

Lordmonkus 2,630 Posted November 25, 2016 For anyone even thinking about building a cabinet take a look over on the arcadecontrols.com forum boards. A lot of great information and advice over there. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,1.0.html
DOS76 1,508 Posted November 25, 2016 If I had to do it all over again I'd buy the joysticks that you could switch from 4 to 8 way that's my only real regret.
Drybonz 47 Posted November 28, 2016 I use Ultrasticks from Ultimarc. They are USB and mappable, so that when you start a game, they instantly switch from 4 to 8 way, 2 way, analog, even diagonal for Q-Bert. They have a slightly soft feel, so if you are a fighting game only guy you may not like them, but otherwise they are amazing. https://www.ultimarc.com/ultrastik_info.html If you are going all out arcade, I recommend the TurboTwist 2 spinner from Groovy Game Gear... they even have a really nice weighted steering small steering wheel you can put on the spinner for pole position type games. http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=86&zenid=n9okemj4lsoa5lg9etec0r0g31 I'm using the original trackball from my X-Arcade which is fine, but those places sell trackballs too if you want one.
