walton84 0
Morning all i used to use an emulator front end on android however I am looking to purchase a new family pc that I’ll use launchbox on. The pc will primarily be used to emulate SNES, mega drive, n64, and perhaps ps1 and wii games. It’ll also be used to play football manager and also used by my daughter for her school work. having owned an iMac for many years I’m unsure as to what spec I need to be looking for in the pc. Not wanting to spend a fortune if it can be helped but happy to get a tower with a monitor. I’d like to use my ps5 on the monitor too. any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. thanks all mark
Pixelpiper 53
Buy another iMac when new Apple Silicon versions are announced this spring. Don't waste you money on an Intel box for the whole family. A mega-cheap old HP Elite or some Dell with a low priced i7 will kick the crap out of emulating all the way up to Wii-U when paired with a pretty affordable NVIDIA GTX like the 1650. Keep that for EMU and Windows gaming. The iMac will do everything else better and much much faster. Technically speaking the iMac will also be a better and faster emulation platform, but it won't run Launchbox - and it's a better idea to have two separate systems.
