  1. I was looking at the Wikipedia entry for this series and noticed that the first and second versions of the Japanese Famicom games titled "Adventures of Lolo" are on different lines than their Western counterparts (unfortunately, different versions of the page that relay the same info don't appear to show the same information, such as the List of NES games). I decided to load up each version and sure enough, they are different in terms of content, not so much in terms of presentation (title screens, music, etc); it would be really easy to load these ROMs up, see the intro and title screen and assume they're the same. The best way to look at it is like this. Adventures of Lolo Western version only Adventures of Lolo 2 Japanese version titled Adventures of Lolo was released first. The Western version was released with a similar title screen and intro as Adventures of Lolo 2, but with a different set of puzzles. Since the content is different, I feel these should be 2 separate games. These games are currently combined in the database. Adventures of Lolo 3 Again the Japanese version was released first as Adventures of Lolo II. The western version released later as Adventures of Lolo 3, again with a different set of puzzles. Since the content is different, I feel these should be 2 separate games. These games are currently combined in the database. Given that these games all have different content despite sharing similar presentation styles, that these should be separated out into 5 unique games: Adventures of Lolo Adventures of Lolo (Japan) Adventures of Lolo 2 Adventures of Lolo II (Japan) Adventures of Lolo 3 There are already some examples of this, like Power Blazer and Power Blade where the presentation is so different they have unique database entries. That said, there would be a lot of cleanup and I did not want to hammer the db with a bunch of modifications without making sure the admins/community agree with making these changes. Thoughts?
  2. Darn - OK, that's what I was hoping for. Thanks for the info,
  3. Hmm, I was hoping to be able to select the other versions as well as you normally can with the combined games via the little Arrow next to the Play button. What if I converted it into a manual playlist?
  4. I decided to set up some multi-platform playlists for things like Fighting Games. This leaves me with several copies of the same game since I'm using full console sets. For example, Mortal Kombat has 3 versions, the arcade, SNES, and Genesis. I'd like to combine them in the playlist so they show as 1 entry, however when doing so, they're removed from their respective console platforms. Is there a way to combine them in the playlist only?
  5. That worked (renaming the region from U to USA)! Is there a way for me to rename it back so it has just the U to keep file names consistent?
  6. The ROM Filename is Dragon Fighter (U).zip
  7. Hi there. Struggling to resolve something that I feel like should be pretty simple. A game called Dragon Fighter is matching to the wrong DB Entry. It's matching to a bootleg ROM instead of the official one. Here's what it should match to for comparison. If I try to clear it and search, I don't get the option for any other games: I tried clearing out all the search fields and don't get the game for NES except the bootleg one: This gives me 2 questions - 1) Is there a way for me to force it to a DB ID and link it to that one; if so, how? 2) How do I find the correct DB ID, it doesn't appear on the website entry anywhere?
