  1. It would be nice if LaunchBox could just ignore these long files if it can't import them. Instead it throws errors or silently fails.
  2. Well I guess I was wrong, I'm seeing the error again importing games. It seemed like it worked after that first reboot, but not any more. I verified the regkey is still enabled. This seems like a HUGE problem with PC-8801 games. Naming the files from the DATs I end up with paths like "F:\ROMS\pc-8801\Sorcerian Tsuika Scenario Vol. 3 - Pyramid Sorcerian (Falcom)-Sorcerian Tsuika Scenario Vol. 3 - Pyramid Sorcerian [FD]\Sorcerian Tsuika Scenario Vol. 3 - Pyramid Sorcerian (Disk 1).d88" If I can't get LaunchBox to work with these names I'll have to edit the DAT files to truncate the names.
  3. I believe I found the solution. Windows 10 can get around this limitation, but for some reason it's not enabled by default. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/fileio/naming-a-file?redirectedfrom=MSDN#maximum-path-length-limitation I changed that registry key to '1' and rebooted, and LaunchBox is seeing all of my files now. Romulus sees the files as well.
  4. I tried using the Import function and used Windows search to select every *.iso file, and when I tried that I get this error below. I opened a Powershell prompt and it looks like that file is Hisshou Pachinko Pachi-Slot Kouryaku Series Vol. 5 - CR Shin Seiki Evangelion 2nd Impact & Pachi-Slot Shin Seiki Evangelion (Japan).iso . Is this an issue with the length of the name?
  5. This doesn't look like it's an issue for other games. The scanner picked up all 3006 NES games and 6902 NDS games for example.
  6. I'm working on setting up LaunchBox for the first time. I have 5855 Playstation 2 games in a folder, but the scanner only picks up 2714 of them. I've validated these roms with Romulus and a Redump DAT file. I can add a rom that was missed with the Import function, but I'm trying to figure out why the scanner doesn't pick it up. On the Ready to Import screen after scanning if I sort by the "File" column I can see that the first game is "Dengeki...", even though I have hundreds of games from A-C (and alphanumeric) that it's missing, likewise the last game is "Nickelodeon...", so it's missing everything from O-Z. I've included a screenshot showing the Ready to Import screen after scanning and my Windows folder showing it's missing games above "Dengeki". This is a network share on a Synology NAS for what that's worth.
