  1. Hey everyone!
It's been a fun few months creating my first emulator console. The forums have been a lot of help, so thanks!

Now I'm looking to start Version 2, and I'm wanting to up my computer power. So I'm here looking for suggestions!

    Here's what I started with for version 1: Lenovo ThinkCentre M93p (Tiny); i7-4765T; 8gb RAM; 750 GB (non-SSD); onboard GPU (Intel 4600

I'd like to upgrade to a better machine. I want to keep the small(ish) form, though it doesn't have to be a small as a mini. Something that keeps the general dimensions of a modern console. I'd like it to have at least near 2TB of hard drive space (I'm ok if it's not SSD) and a GPU with some heft. I'm not looking to run the latest/greatest PC games at max settings, but something that will allow me to mess with Gamecube, Dreamcast, N64, and the like's resolutions (which I did a little, but the onboard Intel 4600 couldn't handle much).

A cursory search finds modern builds around $1000+, but I'm not looking for a modern beast, just something that has the heft to play with some last-last gen systems. If I could keep it in the $500 or less range, that'd be cool.

So, experts out there. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I love the overlays. Got them loaded (and worth a donation).

I wondered if anyone has a suggestion or has already played with the resolution needed to fit into the "screen space". I'm having a really hard time guessing how to fit it. In retroarch you can only go up and down by the degrees they've provided. If I had some idea I could edit the cfg manually. Currently I'm at a 1920x1080 normal monitor resolution.

Any help would be welcome. Thanks!

  3. UPDATE: I've switched to Retroarch for the time being, so I have a work around, but I am curious if anyone has an answer to this still. If not, that's ok.

I've bound select+start to bring up the Pause Menu of all consoles, using the "exit" button to leave any game. For the ePSXe emulator, the pause menu would not appear. I went into Edit Emulator and checked "forceful pause menu" which now brings up the menu with two options, continue or exit. When I select exit the pause screen leave and I return to the PSX game.

    Any ideas?

Note: I do have the AutoHotkey Script for closing out ePSXe as found on these forums, and that part works fine, not having to click a confirmation "OK" when exiting.

  4. Dolphin only seems to work well in windowed mode for my mini-PC. So, if I leave the game in windowed mode and just maximize the screen, everything is great. BUT, when I close the emulator in BigBox, the next time I open a Gamecube game it's back to being a small window. I could plug in a mouse and double click, but I'd love to find an automatic solution given this is a TV setup.

For example, is there a way to make it launch Dolphin with a "alt+space+x" command? Or perhaps another ingenous solution. I'm all ears!

    Thanks so much!
