    The last many versions (can't remember when it happened first) I have an error when opening LB... the vertical scrollbar is missing in list view (which I always use).

    A way to get it back is choosing view > Images view and then view > List view.

    Now I use LB 13.7b4 on windows 11.

    Horizontal Scroll Bar missing in LB

    Hi

    For a while I had this:

    Boot up LB in list view (I only use this and not BB)

    Horizontal Scrollbar is missing in list view window.

    It only shows up if I select Images View and then return to List View.

    Anyone else? Or knows whats wrong?

    It's LB 13.6

    Crashed HDD: how to reimport Full MAME romset, not losing any Metadata?

    Yeah - just dropped my HDD and it died. Did a backup on my second HDD a year ago 🙄

    So I’m reimporting all mame games in the Full way (can’t remember the right terms now.

    Last time I did like this, I ended up losing all my Metadata, and I don’t want that again. Have been spending many hours on inputting my own Metadata in Launchbox, so the fields doesn’t show what I could import, but my own data.

    Very important for me to keep.

    My Launchbox and MAME folder are on my SSD (C-drive) - only my roms were on the external (D-drive). Should I backup a folder in Launchbox and then copy-overwrite a new one after Full import? Just to be sure? And would there be a setting I could uncheck to prevent loss of Metadata? I would like both answers if possible 😃

    Oh yeah, and would keeping my favourites be a part of this solution?

    Badges / MAME High Scores

    Hi...

    Is LB made so the parent MAMEgame decides if MAME High Scores Badge is shown in the clone games too, in listview?

    In my LB I see the badge set for Repulse and all of its clones, even if most of the clones doesn't have the headline High Scores next to Overview and related games...

    OR

    Is it just because no-one have yet made a high score in these clones? I'm not that good yet.

    How does it work?

    If I get what you say, my system is to slow to run the MAMEgames like dfkbl and others with same driver, when launched from LB. Becuse of 2,4 vs 4.0 gHz?

    But when I play it in just MAME, I don’t close LB just minimize LB like when I launched it out of LB. Won’t the demands to my processor speed be the same, when the same programs are open? LB minimize when games are launched vs. I minimize. LB and MAME are open and LB is minimized while I play, both ways.

    Is there something LB does when launching that really slows my system? Does LB monitor / interact with MAME while I’m playing or just pause when minimized after launching?

    And I have no problems running DoDonPachi 3, (my question was about an earlier DoDonPachi game) which features the same or better graphics, speed and clouds of bullets (they are bullet hell shooters) and made by the same company (Cave).

    Troubleshooting MAME High Scores

    Hi there...

    Blazing Star hiscores doesn’t work for me. Works for you?

    I can do the Hiscore, (just started playing it, 428.000 ish) but every time I do it, no entry in LB Mame Hiscore panel.

    Looking in MAME directories it shows that a saveram file is saved in NVram directory when leaving the game. But no blazstar.hi file in Hiscore directory is to be found. Other games do the right thing.

    Anybody knows what is up?

    Now my game preview videoes doesn’t loop audio after editing metadata anymore. Problem seem fixed.

    PDF manuals not opening?

    I don’t know what you mean by update and licenses? I am lifelong member at Launchbox and Emumovies. 🙂

    Maybe that was for another person? Or was it because of me mentioning the “end”?

    Well, never mind.

    When I try to open pdf manuals inside LB (rightclick game > Media > View Manual) nothing happens, no messages or errors. When I try to open rtf manuals inside LB it opens just fine in wordpad.

    When I try to open pdf manuals outside LB, via file explorer, it opens just fine in adobe acrobat viewer.

    Hi there

    I have a lot of pdf manuals that LB downloaded for me. And I have some rtf manuals I made by myself, for Future Pinball games without a manual.

    When I (in Launchbox 12.7-6 listview) rightclick a game with a manual > choose Media > View Manual

    The pdf's never open

    The rft's always open

    How come? Is it at my end or is this normal?

    My pdf viewer is Adobe Acrobat Viewer

    My rtf viewer is Microsoft Wordpad

    - another noobish question, I tried answering with a coin (right corner), it says it means thanks. Does this gain some points for you (or me) or just a Thanks, like  a "like" on facebook?

    I like the bagdes more and more, now that they are in LB listview, and one of the good ones is Mame Hiscores. Makes me wonder if it would be possible to have a badge for games with retroachievements?

    Is that a feature request or would that be coming anyways? 🙂

    Game preview video music won't stop playing

    Hmm

    Now I tried and it didn't do it.

    I must have seen that at least 10-20 times today, but can't remember which games that did it.

    I have now updated LB to 12.7-6 and if it still does that thing, I'll note what game, and try too replicate 🙂
     

    Now I did it, still hard to replicate, don’t know what triggers it…

    EDIT: it is happening again 🤓

    Was reading (in LB listview Arcade Platform) what the new achivements in Asteroids (rev4) was, the video played the 2 minutes I was reading, then I pressed RetroScore and closed Retroscore again. Then I browsed to Amidar and the Asteroids music looped, and continued on top of amidar video, till 5 secs after I closed LB - and I did a fumble, did not press record on my phone 😧 

    2nd EDIT: I replicated it, like above, I now have half a .mov video at 50 mb, but only showing the error, not the start. Is it worth an upload? Can you replicate? I used my iphone for recording. Will OBS studios be better at recording this?

    Trying to replicate again… sometimes it does sometimes not, I went from reading astrroids info pressing one of the achivements and was directed to webpage. When I returned after a minute and browsed to amidar, it looped again.

    maybe it dependsnon when I do other stuff or what, and when I browse on?

    By waiting / reading A minute I also got asteroids looping sound into its own mamegame, so soundloop in same game as real sound.

    I also can make the wrong loop when editing metadata. I do that a lot, and that might be why I see this error a lot?

    it seems I have to do “stuff” while the video is running and then the wrong loop starts afterwards?
