I managed to get something working on PC at least, so if anyone else is wanting to do the same thing this is what I did... I installed PowerToys for windows and remapped the numpad keys to the arrows, ins and del. you can toggle this remapping on and off in PowerToys, so just enable it before playing the game.

I'm trying to play Black Crypt on the amiga with the puae core. With game focus off, the arrow keys and numpad do nothing, when it's on the arrow keys work and INS/DEL are turn left and right. The key DEL is particularly hard to get used to when moving around. I'm struggling to find information that could either 1. Get the keys to work at all with game focus off, and maybe remap them 2. Remap the ins key to page down with game focus on I have a feeling it might not be possible to remap if game focus is on just passing the keys to the core? Any help, pointers would be much appreciated thanks.
