  1. Thank you for this. It worked. I replaced the file in cores, deleted the MAME2016 one that was in there, then edited the Retroarch emulator settings in Launchox to use the new core. Worked right away. Now I just got to go back to resetting my inputs. Quite the endeavor.
  2. Currently I have multiple soundtrack files in my Launchbox/Music/[Console]/ folder. Each track is named after the corresponding game, for example, "Ninja Gaiden.mp3". When I navigate to the game in BB or LB it plays the song without an issue. But if I want to have multiple tracks to move between, what is the naming convention? I tried "Ninja Gaiden-01.mp3" and a few other variations, but it only ever plays "Ninja Gaiden.mp3." I have both my keyboard and controller mapped so I can move between tracks (set in the options menu), but the first track just restarts. I think BB has an option to randomize which tracks get played, but it doesn't seem to matter. It can only seem to detect the first mp3 file, probably because I'm missing something. Does it have to be in another subfolder folder or something? Other unrelated question, is there a way to normalize the sound? Some files are a bit loud and I'd like to clear that up without manually editing them, though I figure this may be a big ask.
  3. I updated to newest release and it is working for me.
  4. The ticket has been updated to say it will be fixed in the next beta release. Thanks to all involved.
  5. If this issue is happening to you too, you can watch / vote for it here: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/5699/videos-in-bigbox-have-no-sound-with-vlc
  6. This did work at restoring the video sound. Though its not perfect. I preferred the way it worked in 11.6 and prior where I could have custom music playing over the video. Seems like a bug to not allow this. Update: I entered this as a bug here: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/5699/videos-in-bigbox-have-no-sound-with-vlc
  7. Videos in Big Box (whether they be platform videos or game videos) play no sound for me in the latest version. I checked my settings and they are the same as before the update. Big Box interface sounds work normally and mp3 audio tracks work as well, it's just videos which no longer are playing sound. I believe this is a problem with VLC since Windows Media Player works when switched to in options. Just to preempt some questions, here are some things I've checked: Switching to Windows Media Player works, but for various reasons, I want to use VLC. Yes, video sound is at 100%. System sound is at normal levels (as mentioned BigBox interface sounds and MP3 tracks work normally). Rolling back to 11.6 fixes the problem, but not an ideal solution since I will want updates eventually. I deleted the ThirdParty/VLC folder and reinstalled LB 11.7. Issue persists. Edit: When running ThirdParty/VLC/x64/VLC.exe, everything works normally. It can play videos with sound. Edit: Tried changing themes. No change. Thanks for your help.
