  1. Oh, wow, you were absolutely right. I finally found the remains of the earlier, local installation. I deletet this and also installed the current version in my LB folder. It works fine now.

Thanks a lot for your help, skizzosjt!

do you have more than one Retroarch installation? your Retroarch image shows for example you have downloaded nestopia_libreto but shows LB doesn't see it. also, your Retroarch image shows you did not download the Gamecube (Dolphin) core, yet LB shows it as installed (note there is no missing core file text in the field).

makes me think you have multiple instances of Retroarch on your system. you should make sure everything is being directed to the proper instance and said instance has all the right cores installed and settings setup.

Thanks for your answer. I've just checked and searched the whole disk, there is only this one RetroArch installation. As test, I removed all files in the core folder and LB couldn't find any core, showed the missing core message for every system. After putting them back, I had the same situation as in the picture above.

  3. Hi everyone

I've read several topics for this issue, but none could help to solve my problem

I've installed several cores in RetroArch and also added them in LaunchBox. But it's still showing "Missing Core File" for most systems and the emulator won't load in BigBox. But when I start RetroArch separately, it works perfectly. Any ideal how this can be fixed?

Important note**If you install this theme, and the artwork does not display properly for a platform on your system, then more than likely it is a naming conflict between your platform and the files in the theme. To fix this issue, you must locate these files and change the name to your actual platforms name:

1.Images/Theme/Background/(name of your platform that is mislabeled)

2.Images/Theme/VideoBorder/(name of your platform that is mislabeled)

If you install the Queso Fresco addon as well, then you must also rename the custom view xaml files to your platform name.

I am trying to set up BigBox for the first time and decided to use this great theme. The playlist looks great, but as soon as I get into the platform or category overview, it looks like the screenshot attached.

I read that it might work with renaming files. But where do I see which name is the correct one?

    Thanks.

1-2: Could use Auto-Populate based on region
3-6: Set that value in Source field and then Auto-Populate against that

Then each of the 6 playlists will update automatically when adding games. If you know you are going to be done importing games for a while I would then shut off the Auto-Populate on those playlists as they do increase loading times for some users.

If you are premium you can use Custom Tags to generate information for the Auto-Populate to work against as well.

Than you very much, that's exactly what I needed. ?

Since I've sorted my ROMs in folders after those criterias, I can create them with help of the path.

  6. Hi everyone

I'm trying to sort my ROMs after own criterias, like in the example on the screenshot. I've created own categories, but don't know how to assign them to the games. Or is there any other or better way to organize the games like this?

    Thank you in advance.

  7. Hi everyone

I’m completly new to the world of Launchbox and I’m already stuck with some questions:

    1. Is  it possible to organize the ROMs in Launchbox and BigBox for a system by folder? My whole collection is organized in folders (after region, alphabet, unlicensed, etc.) and I would like to adapt this for Launchbox/BigBox.

    2. When I search the LaunchBox Game Database for metadata, there are a lot of missing pictures and informations for my collection. Is there a way to use https://www.screenscraper.fr/ as a source, or even the Skraper from http://skraper.net/ ?

     Thanks in advance.
