  1. Hey there! I just wanted to chime in as I'm in a similar situation as you. I have a 43" monster arcades DIY kit halfway through production right now and definitely want to have a freesync/gsync monitor hooked up to it. I'm a big fan of those on the PC gaming front and have a variety of monitor types that I use. I'm personally not concerned about the VA/IPS viewing angle, as the angles will be pretty acute from the center of the screen given where the control panel is. Also there are so few options once you get the specs narrowed down that there probably won't be a choice. I think also at 43" size you will definitely be looking at 4k, both from lack of alternatives and also you just wouldn't want any lower at that size (and viewing it so close). I too plan to play around with scanline shaders. I just want a 43" 4k gsync/freesync that hits at least >100hz without overclock. The other thing is going to be figuring out if it will fit once I get the cabinet (do you already have your kit with measurements?) but done before ordering the monitor. So far the Acer Predator CG437K, Asus XG438Q seems to check those boxes, with a number of other monitors in that category at only 60hz. Reviews are mixed though and I'm sure many like those are using the same panels with different branding. It is difficult because there aren't a lot of options, but I also can't complain because a monitor that meets this criteria didn't really exist until the last few years.
