  1. OS:
    Windows10 Pro 64bit ver.2009

    Problem:
When changing the name of a platform on which a game is already registered, it takes a long time to move the media, and during that time Launchbox becomes unresponsive.

Whether the problem can be reproduced consistently:
I tried restarting the PC, changing the target platform, deleting the media folder, etc., but there was no improvement.

It is highly likely that this is a problem with my PC environment, so I am posting this to identify the cause. Are there any examples of similar phenomena occurring?

    Thank you.

I can confirm that this solution is working. When the scoped storage is cleared on the emulator page I'm able to run bin files but for cue it's not working.

So maybe the game importer should search for bin files and pick them as the main game file instead of cue files.

When importing, try using the File Extension Filter and specifying .bin.

I still have issues. It doesn't  matter if it's cue or bin. As you can see on my video Tekken 3 has the scoped storage path set but it's loading only to bios. If I manually run Duckstation and choose Tekken 3 it loads.

Also I checked if with the scoped storage path cleared it's working but no, it's not.

Will it still start if I clear the scope storage in the emulator settings like in this video? In this environment, .bin is starting up.

  5. For reference, I will write the settings that allowed me to launch Playstation games on Duchstation (0.1-8889) from Launchbox (1.18β5) in my environment. The ROMs are located on the SD card.

    Device
    Lenovo Legion Y700 2023

    Emulator settings
    Duckstation
    Games Path Not Set
    Unpack ROM archives OFF

When I set Scoped storage permission, all games did not launch.

The extensions specified in Launchbox are as follows.

    Extensions that could be launched
    .chd
    .bin
    .img

Extensions that could not be launched
    .cue
    .sub

Thanks. The known issue that we are currently tracking is that for certain devices touch screen controls do not work on the page where you choose a new database image.

We've confirmed that controllers seem to work, and we've also confirmed that certain device the touch screen controls do work on this page.

If this is not what you are seeing, please let us know.

    Lenovo Legion Tab Y700 Gen2 (2023)

    ZUI 16.0.622

I checked further. No matter how many times I touch the image, there is no reaction. However, the "←" key to go back does react.
    Thank you in advance.

    A new problem has occurred.
This is a bug that did not occur in 1.17.
Edit media → Select image category → Browse new game database image → Unable to select image
    1.18β3 Japanese environment.

1.17 has no problems, but 1.18β2 shuts down during startup.
After uninstalling, installing 1.17 starts it up normally again, but updating to 1.18β2 prevents it from starting.

I installed β3 in the same environment as the source. It started without any problems. Thank you for the quick update!

I am glad you asked this q too, as mine has my full REAL name on it so screenshots and the like I get a little concerned about, and particularly if the device gets stolen somehow. Just hiding it and saying something like : 'Launchbox Premium' there instead would be cool.

I'm glad I was able to solve your problem too.

You can email support@unbrokensfotware.com for any license change requests.

    Confirmation

I received the following reply regarding changing the registered name of the license.

    >You can email support@unbrokensfotware.com for any license change requests.

    The destination address says "unbrokensfotware."

Is this a mistake for "unbrokensoftware"?

Is it correct to say "sfotware" instead of "unbrokensoftware"?

  12. I did not expect that the license name I registered would be displayed on the screen as it was, so I registered with my real name. Is it possible to change the license name to a nickname?

<The above text was translated into English using Google Translate.>

The same phenomenon is occurring in my environment.
When converting the platform name, metadata may disappear.
In that case, even if you specify the platform correctly, you may not be able to re-download metadata or images like you can with individual games.

I know the custom emulator package name. But can't figure out what the activity name and rom Path key should be

Please try using the app "Package Name Viewer" (Google Play).
You will be able to see the package name and activity name. I think it's okay to leave the ROM passkey field blank.

The above content will be written in Japanese below.

    「Package Name Viewer」というアプリ(GooglePlay)を使用してみてください。
    パッケージ名とアクティビティ名がわかります。ROMパスキーは空欄で大丈夫だと思います。
