  1. About the Windows version of LaunchBox.
    Since quite some time ago, there has been an issue where starting a game with the Enter key causes most emulators to start twice. (For example, MAME)
    There is no problem if you start the game with Ctrl+P.

    How about on your PC?
    Is this a feature or a bug?

     

    OS: Windows 10 64bit
    LaunchBox version: Latest beta version

    We are still in the process of fixing up a number of issues, crashes, and smoothing out a number of other processes. We should have another beta with those fixes in the next day or so. Once that is done, we are looking to make this live in short order.

    The touch screen issue is resolved. I hope the "Media downloading" issue will be resolved in a future release. Thanks.

  3. This is the latest version of the beta version.

    Device/OS name

    ・Lenovo Y700 (2022)

    Pixel Experience (based on android 12/custom ROM)

    ・Xiaomi POCO X6 Pro

    Xiaomi HyperOS (based on android 14)

    Both are in the same situation.

    I can select the platform without any problems, but when I get to the screen where I actually select the game, "Media downloading..." is displayed in the bottom right of the screen, and I can only return to the platform or open the menu in the upper right. (I left it for a few minutes but it didn't solve the problem)

    In the settings, "Automatically download missing media" is off, and Sync is also off, but the situation does not change.

    I quickly tested it. I updated the two devices with the problem and followed the steps, and both worked fine.

    Since the language setting is used in Japanese, it will be used in English until it is fixed in the next update.

    Although this is the latest beta version, this issue has persisted from previous versions.

    ・Edit media → Delete box image → Reference new game database images → Select "Box - Front Japan" → Single tap → Crash

    ・Edit media → Delete box image → Reference new game database images → Select "Box - Front Japan" → Long press → Crash

  7. Even though media files from the specified region exist in the database, media files from a different region are actually being downloaded.
    For example, if you set "Japan Priority" and restart Launchbox after downloading media, North American media will be downloaded instead of Japanese media.
    Launchbox crashes 100% of the time when you delete North American media and try to manually specify it from the database images.

    Device used: Lenovo Legion Y700 (2022) 8GB/128GB
    Android version: Pixel Experience based on android 12.0
    LaunchBox for android version: 1.12 β1
    Citra MMJ (storage access version) version: 8608c5b14

    - If you launch the game directly from Citra MMJ (storage access version), the game will launch without any problems.
    ・If you start from LaunchBox, no matter which game you try to start, the game will not start. When the app tries to start, the screen goes black for a moment, but then immediately returns to the LaunchBox screen.

    Problem: When starting the game with the enter key, the assigned emulator starts twice. (There is no problem if it is started by double-clicking the mouse or Ctrl+P)

    I'm having the same issue on both my desktop and laptop PCs.
    It may be due to my PC environment.
    Is there anyone having the same problem?

LB updates for years have come pretty consistently with each year seeing easily 10-15 updates. This year we have 6 releases, so on par with number of releases all the prior years. 

    If you take advantage of the $45 price for the lifetime you never have to worry about updates as you will always be able to get them. 

    Regarding the Windows version update, I understand that there is only an interval.

    I don't understand why there is no answer.
    I am asking if a new staff member has been found.
    The Android Launchbox that I have already purchased has not received any stable updates.
    I don't know if I can trust that the Android version will continue to be developed.
