Close to two years later....still an issue.

From what I can see, the OP doesn't close RetroArch, but returns to the home screen without closing it. Just like on a phone, if you go back to the home screen, the app continues to run in the background for a while.
9 Months Later...someone finally answers my questions. J/K 😁

But, to answer your question - what Admin typed was the problem I was running into. I eventually found the solution shortly after posting. I think I posted my issue on Reddit and someone responded. Hence me not coming back to the forums since I didn't have any more issues. 🤷♂️ -
Which hinders starting a different game, the old game continues to play. I have to reboot the shield to truly start a new game. Doesn't matter the emulator, game, system.
How should one exit a game? -
There are a few games that I/people use/play that require a 3rd party launcher, BemaniTools/SpiceTools.
I can link the .bat file to have launchbox open the file, which will open the game - but Launchbox isn’t able to close the game, to return to the launcher.
Others who use this 3rd party launcher also run into the same problem. -

Was this resolved?
I have a similar problem with my Logitech G923 racing wheel. It works fine in anything outside of Launchbox. I use it in MAME, Retroarch, Forza, etc... It's only Launchbox that doesn't see it.
Nope I still have an open ticket...

Simply put; had it import MAME Roms, and when it was all said and done. It listed 18,000 games.
There are only 600 files in that folder. Clicking a game that I know it doesn't exist, it goes black for a second, then goes back to launchbox.
The file also doesn't exist in the roms folder.
Why is it doing this? -

What sort of controller is it? It sounds like a dance mat, and that could well be using a non standard protocol, and retroarch can see something, but cant auto configure it either, so that tracks if its some unique thing.
It is a dancemat, connected via USB. -
How do I add or map a controller? I just go to Tools - Options - Game Controllers - Mapping, correct?
It's blank, if this is the process.
Controller is brand new and is recognized in Windows 10 game/environments but I don't see a way to map the buttons in Launchbox?
I know the emulator sees it, cause something pops up saying "L-Tek Dance Pad PRO (1003/32833) not configured."
So, where is the true configuration location?
Edit: I plugged in an 8BitDo SN30pro gamepad, that populated as a XBox 360 Gamepad.
It's just not seeing the other peripheral, unless there is another location for me to check/map. -

Any theme can do this. You would just need to either navigate by genre in Big Box, or create a custom dynamic playlist and put it in the platform categories.
I see, I see....found the video....Appreciate it....

Besides a playlist(which still has unwanted ROMs in the folder), is there a way that Launchbox can import/move only filtered games?
I mean if not - it would be nice to have that, instead of lengthy tutorials such as this?

Looking the same type of service. I'm in the process of building a 4 player control panel and would like artwork for the cp and possibly the pedestal.

I mean the playlist has been download around 4,000 times...

Kudos if your collection is void of duplicates, clones, and hacks.

How to safely shut down my PC based arcade?
in Noobs
Posted
So for the time being my arcade has a big box interface - yet every time I hit the power in the back - it corrupts the controller file of Launchbox and I have to reset it again.
Now - I could just shut down via Big Box - yet the primary game I have doesn't exit back to Launchbox/Big Box after it launches and it's been an issue for over two years.
Is there a way to map certain keys of my arcade to have it safely shut down? Once this game launches - the PC appears to no longer recognize any hot keys of the launchbox/big box.
Thanks
