slightly confused

was wondering what would cause a sound issue im having with 2 of my emulators that I'm running through retroarch.first is a5200 for Atari 5200 and second is o2em for Magnavox odyssey 2. when i load a game, it makes a god-awful feedback noise that persist throughout the game all my other emulators work fine it's just these 2.any help would be greatly appreciated.
