  1. I have done a lot of my own images/covers for my collections and have a couple questions about managing your own images for your library. #1 - Is right clicking a game, highlighting edit, clicking Edit Metadata/Media, clicking images under the media tab, clicking add image and browsing to the image, and clicking open the fastest way to assign your own image? I find this to be very tedious when you have a lot of images to change. That's like 5 clicks per image change. If there is a faster way to do this, please let me know. #2 - Let's say I have to reinstall Windows. Is there a way I can save my library cover/image changes so that I can just back that file up instead of reassigning my own images every time I have to reinstall windows/launchbox? #3 - It would be REALLY nice if there was a cloud save option that would save any library media changes I've made. I've also noticed Launchbox does not save my "Play Time" on a reinstall. It would be nice if Launchbox would save my library changes and statistics FOR me so if I have to reinstall everything just comes up where it last was before the reinstall happened. Is that a thing? Because it would save me a lot of clicking.
  2. It's been awhile since I've looked at this thread, but I thought I would pop in and update what has been working for me. Originally I was using Dolphin through RetroArch and that was making it difficult. It seemed like RetroArch did not like me using multiple types of controllers with different button setups. Particularly the Gamecube controller, as it has it's own unique button placement. Now I use RetroArch for 99% of my systems; and for GameCube I manually install Dolphin from their website and add it to the Launchbox emulators myself. This allows me to configure a controller through Dolphin (separately from RetroArch) and it is remembered when launching a game through Launchbox. This way I am able to use my Gamecube PowerA controller specifically for Dolphin/GameCube and RetroArch can stay on an Xbox/Playstation controller type setup. Works great! I did try to figure out ds4windows, but did not manage to get it to do what I wanted. I may take another crack at it sometime but I just thought I would share a simple solution that doesn't require learning or buying any new software. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions!
  3. They are not mapped the same. I didn't check the whole controller but I know the main buttons are different. Using Joytokey here is how they are reading (looks like they are slightly reversed). The problem I am having is Ds4windows is not seeing my controller at all. I followed this video and when he connected his PS4 controller it popped right up. My Power A (non supported) doesn't seem to pop up in the software. A good video for newbies to Ds4windows. You don't need to follow the website's messy installation instructions. This is much easier. Install the software and open. Go to the settings tab Click on the Controller/Driver Setup link. Here you can install the ViGEmBus, HidHide, FakerInput Drivers (built right into the software).
  4. No. It is not a Switch Pro Controller. It is a PowerA GameCube style switch controller. There's a link there if you want to see it.
  5. Thanks! Installation went pretty smooth except I don't understand how to install the FakerInput driver. The link sends me to Github, and I can see where to download the package as a zip file, but it doesn't contain any installation files. This seems like source code or something? I can read a little programming, but am not a programmer. Maybe I am clicking the wrong download link? Unfortunately it doesn't seem to support the controller I am trying to use. (Ds4Windows doesn't seem to recognize my controller?) Then I saw this and thought I would share for those who are new to Ds4Windows. You might want to check out the supported controller list first; https://ds4-windows.com/supported-controllers/. The main goal is to use these PowerA GameCube style controllers for GameCube and N64. They are very nice, and feel almost like the original GameCube controllers. https://www.amazon.com/PowerA-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo-Switch-GameCube/dp/B07GXLBCC3. I emailed the Ds4Windows devs asking if they had any plans to add them to the compatibility list. We'll see what happens.
  6. "i also use ds4windows for my ps4 controller but i am not sure if it does the job our friend requires. it supports very old joysticks with adapters ?" I never said I was using old USB. That was someone else's comment. Most of my controllers are wireless (xbox360) or bluetooth (switch pro, dualshock). It sounds like ds4windows is the better option for newer controllers? The goal would be to no matter which controller I am using for whatever console; I could pick it up, turn it on, and it would just work (correctly mapped).
  7. I am trying to find a good tutorial on how to map multiple controllers to Launchbox to match the console I am playing. For instance, Using a Playstation 2 controller to play Playstation 1 & 2 games, an Xbox 360 controller to play Xbox games, a Gamecube style Nintendo Switch controller to play Gamecube games, etc. Does Launchbox have this feature?
