  1. Hi there, sorry for repeating the Shinobi question on another thread, it was 4am in the morning and it was doing my head in, my mistake. I set the latest version of LB up, as per ETA Prime's and other Tutorials on YouTube. Imported Roms, kept metadata to just front box images. The box you talk about under tools>manage emulators "Extract roms before launching" I've tried checked, unchecked. It's weird, because Shadow Dancer works and it's very similar. Any ideas?
  2. Hi, can anyone help me get Shinobi to work. I've tried different rom downloads for it, and every conceivable combination of mame versions and game versions (protected, unprotected versions a & b). It just won't load its driving me mad. Maddest thing is, if I load the core and rom using Retroarch back end, it works. What's going on? Cheers.
  3. Thank you mate
  4. Hi guys, I was just wondering how you go about recommending a little improvement to Launchbox Simply put, to have a Game Pad Cursor Speed option introduced. My PS5 controller cursor speed in the program is like pulling teeth out, yet the mouse is fine. Now that I've got everything set up I'd like to say goodbye to using a mouse and keyboard and have a similar UI to Sonys Machine, with maybe even an onscreen keyboard when doing a search? Is this possible, or is there an app for making controllers more responsive generally in Windows & Launchbox. Cheers guys
  5. @Retro808 thanks for the reply. I've decided to uninstall and delete Launchbox in its entirety and start again. When I did the first install, I added a folder called Emulators to users/Launchbox on my C drive. I thought by putting the copy of Retroarch from the Super Pro console in there as well as a Playstation 2 one I'd downloaded and ScummVM it'd help Launchbox along. But it seemed to make a mess. Reason I did this was because I couldn't see Retroarch in any Launchbox's folders or sub-folders, so I assumed you had to add it yourself (along with other emulators). After installing Launchbox, it has the option to download Retroarch anyway, but when I tried this, it just freezes. This time I'm going to run Launchbox from my external SD for a start, and choose to leave Metadata to a bare minimum, and leave program files alone to see what the bare bones of it actually do. On the plus side, I got Monkey Island running, so I've learnt something. It's all a learning curve, I'm no expert despite sleeping the last month or so watching YouTube tutorials. Any advice or help, tips & tricks, from anyone would be massively appreciated. Cheers guys 👍
  6. I've just started with Launchbox. Bought a new mini PC for it. I was originally using some dodgy Super Pro X console with micro SD, but I wanted more flexibility. Two things... 1. The Super Pro X booted quickly with all metadata, box art etc, yet Launchbox takes forever? Why? My PC is definitely powerful enough. 2. When I tried to play Shinobi, I clicked the play button and it just spins a blue cursor. This is running MAME2003+. However, when I run the same game using Retroarch by loading the core and content under the same MAME version, it runs fine? What link is missing that stops Launchbox talking to Retroarch that prevents this game from running?
