  1. Throwing one final idea out into the wind: is there an option to have a playlist that just looks for a particular word or phrase in the game's metadata as a whole instead of a particular field?
  2. Sorry for the triple post, but I keep thinking of new possible workarounds: is there a way for me to tell the Series field to use the data present in both the Publisher and Developer field? Or I guess just tell a field to use the same data as another field? Really want to find a way to make this as automated as possible.
  3. Or, is it possible to take the data from Publisher and Developer and put them both in another field altogether? That way I could just create playlists based on that field alone using "contains".
  4. Follow up question on my request. Is there a way to combine data from two fields into one field in bulk? Tell Launchbox to take whatever data is in the Publisher field and add it to the Developer field? I'd rather have technically inaccurate information if it allows me ease and peace of mind to make automatically updating playlists.
  5. Heh, found someone provided my same exact example four years ago. I guess I should forget about that ever being an option, which is a shame, because it really handicaps what you can do with playlists to not have that ability.
  6. Thanks, that was kind of my point in mentioning since you all seem to be discussing reasons why an "and" "or" structure would be useful. Name changes and variations wouldn't be that much of an issue since Launchbox already allows for "contains" as a qualifier. The "or" part is the real problem. And yes, of course games can be added manually, but as an example, Capcom. They've got a lot of games, you know? It's not viable as a long-term solution. Frankly, I admit I'm surprised "or" isn’t a function. No offense, but it feels like a pretty basic standard for any kind of system like this.
  7. I've got a fun example of an issue. I'm trying to make playlists of companies, but they can either be a publisher or a developer. How do I solve this without having to painstakingly alter each entry?
  8. First, glad to hear that I was able to help you out through my own discovery. As for me, I'm fine now. I'm back to going through my roms and replacing ones that are the wrong hash for RetroAchievements with the right ones, but here's another weird quirk. So just went through my PSP isos. I replace a game, like I said, and you'd think rescanning achievements would be enough to get Launchbox to notice the swap, but it doesn't. Instead, after some experimentation, I've found what works fastest is editing the game in Launchbox, removing a letter from the ROM file in Launching, saving it, going back in, and putting the letter back. It's like it forces Launchbox to acknowledge the new version of the iso/rom/etc.
  9. Okay, holy hell, I figured out what was going on with the Neo Geo Pocket Color games at least. It's because Launchbox scrapes them as Neo Geo Pocket Color, which makes sense because that's what they are, but RetroAchievements lists them as plain Neo Geo Pocket. I changed Scrape As to Neo Geo Pocket, rescanned achievements, and now those games are showing up normally. That at least solves that problem. Armed with that information, I move onward. Thanks for your help.
  10. I've tried removing the games from Launchbox and putting them in again, and no change. I saw other past topics involving some line along the lines of <RetroAchievementsHash>COULDNTFILEHASH</RetroAchievementsHash>, and I don't have that at all. I tried deleting and replacing the RAHasher file, no change. RetroArch knows I have the right ROMs, it's like Launchbox isn't even trying to check them. It's weird.
  11. Hi, sorry, I'm just now home from work and able to check. For my Neo Geo Pocket Color games, no, none of them have any of that, which makes sense because none of them are displaying properly. Gamecube however, does have games displaying properly, and I see those fields with those games.
  12. Yes, multiple times.
  13. Hi, I have a very weird thing going on and I don't know if it's because of the API still or not. I see my key is recognized properly in Options and I can view my Achievements profile again, but here's what's happening. I'm using the Omni skin, which should let me both see available Steam Achievements on the right with the game profile, Steam style, as well as see a progress bar on the game entry itself. Weirdly, I get this on many games like expected, but there are a lot that I don't, even though when I go into the game, RetroAchievements registers the game and the achievements as expected. It's frustrating because I'm trying to go through my library and verify which games I need to replace with the correct version to earn achievements, and I used to be able to tell at a glance, but now I have to go into each game, which is tedious. I've tried removing and readding games, I've tried repairing the Omni skin, and at one point I tried just reinstalling Launchbox. As a glaring example, none of my Neo Geo Pocket Color games are showing achievements, even though they're clearly there when I start to play the game. Anyone have any ideas?
  14. I am having the same issue since yesterday evening and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the GameCube incident.
