Hi all,
Really not sure where this lives, as it's not a Launchbox issue, more an emulator one (but because it's only one specific game, I'm putting it in the Games section... I hope that's right!). I've been setting up Model 3 emulation using SuperModel and the UI overlay, and so far it's all gravy bar some frame rate drops (can't get it to 60, sits at around 45). Everything looks the part except one game: Emergency Call Ambulance. When I play that, I get:
- A totally black sky instead of blue, and
- A broken third person view that points at the back of the ambulance, making it unplayable
I believe this is a common problem, but I can't for the life of me work out how to fix it. I've looked all over and found only one video from someone claiming to have solved it, but it's using an arcade overlay I've never heard of (v2.5 elite console?!) and the solution is no help. Not sure why it's broken or how to go about solving it... anyone got any ideas please?
Some technical details which will no doubt throw multiple spanners in the works:
- I'm already using the complete preconfigured setup files shared on here by WarpedPolygon, which have helped massively with controls and the like
- I'm doing all of this on a Retroid Pocket 5, which means I'm not doing it natively on the device; I'm using Winlator as a go-around to emulated the Windows environment needed for SuperModel, which is working surprisingly well (bar the aforementioned framerate issue)
- Because of the RP5 factor, I'm stuck using an older version of the UI overlay for SuperModel (-r288) as the newer ones refuse to run... that's likely to cause problems with the ROMs that it's detecting to use in SM, right?
