    Hello, I'm having the same problem on Windows 10. It doesn't change the setting within windows, but to 'reset' it you have to go into settings and turn up/down to make windows show it same size again. This also seems to happen when launching a game and then exiting. I have the cursor set to a big size, as I'm often presenting and big cursors are easy to see.
