Controller not working in Retroarch ONLY when used with Launchbox

Hi there, I am in a similar situation like some of you, when I launch Retroarch itself my controller mappings are recognized, push start and the game does it. when I start a game from launchbox the start button it is not recognized and the pad for example move forward or skip the presentation of the game instead of starting it and play, weird
