  1. Thank you so much for taking the time to try and help me!!! Here are the answers to your questions: LaunchBox Version: 13.22 Big Box Theme: StationEmulation Theme Version: 1.4 Where I Got the Theme: I believe I just downloaded it from the "Available - All" area from Manage Themes in the System Menu. Video Playback Engine: VLC (deprecated) Running anything in Big Box when it happens: Nope; I am not using Attract Mode or Screen Savers Big Box Section that I am leaving it in when it happens: Not any one specific section; I don't have the system menu or anything like that open. It's just at the user level where you can select games or systems. Does my computer go to sleep or monitors turn off after a certain time: Nope, I am using a TV rather than a monitor. And I have the settings all set to "Never" for for hibernating, sleeping, and turning off my screen. Any power options that turn off pieces of my computer, like USB ports, network, hard drives, etc.?: I went to Device Manager and checked my USB ports, network card, and HID devices. I did see that a few of them were set to "Allow the computer the computer to turn off this device to save power". I feel like I have already configured this option before, but I went and unchecked that option again anyways. It's certainly possible I have missed it with all the configurations I've made. I'll report back within a week to see if that was culprit. In the mean time, based on the information I've given, is there anything else I should be checking, updating, or doing? Thank you again for your help!
  2. Hi there! I am having an issue where, when running Big Box, it will occasionally freeze completely. It has never happened when I'm in the middle of a game or browsing through the menu or anything. Rather, I'll leave Big Box running on my arcade and about once or twice a week, I find that it is completely frozen. No sounds, I can't select or navigate the menu system...nothing. Typically what I found I can do as a "solution" is to remote desktop (RDP) into the arcade from another machine, press the up or down arrows to move the menu (from the machine I am remoting in from), then log back into the arcade locally. I have absolutely no idea why this works. Does anyone have any idea why this keeps happening, and what I can do to prevent this? At the very least, I am looking for an option where I can either: A.) Prevent this from happening completely. B.) Have some program detect when this happens and somehow correct it. My arcade is using Big Box on a Windows 11 Pro mini-PC. The specs for the mini PC are as follows (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B1ZGM6HG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&th=1😞 CPU: Intel Celeron J4105 up to 2.5GHz Operating system: Pre-installed Windows 11 RAM: 12GB DDR4 2666MHz ROM: 256 GB M.2 2242 NGFF SSD 550MB/s WiFi: Dual band WiFi 2.4+5.0G (802.11ac) Graphics/GPU: Intel Graphics 600 2xHDMI support 4K Ultra HD Equipped with M.2 SSD slot (supports extended 2TB) Support expanded 2.5-inch 2TB HDD Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Note: I accidentally posted this in the incorrect forum earlier and have deleted that post. I am running a two player cabinet with BigBox. I have two kids, and somehow they keep managing to spin up multiple instances of Mame. To make matters worse, I can't seem to figure out how to reproduce the issue. I have tried the following to reproduce the issue: -Press the select button of both players multiple times in rapid succession. -Start and exit the game rapidly multiple times. -Start a game, then immediately try to start another game below it by pressing down and hitting the select button. I do not have a game details screen; I have it so you can just scroll through games and press the select button to start the game. Looking through these forums, I have seen other users comment that enabling startup screens solves this problem ( ). I do have this enabled, but somehow my kids still find a way to occasionally get multiple instances running. I did think about having a simple bat program run before each game that closes all instances of Mame. However, I don't want to have to manually add this for every single Mame game. Plus, even though it's only a few seconds, I don't want to increase the load time for my Mame games by having a bat program run before Mame starts. How can I troubleshoot this further? Are there any other steps I can take to prevent multiple instances of Mame running?
