I am having the same issue, except I have to restart the computer. The computer completely freezes. Edit: Just finished adding a cpu temperature monitor program and watched the temps of the cores climb when doing the downloading. Three of the four cores went above 80C as soon as one hit 88C the computer froze. I guess my first gen i7 just can't take the heat. Time to upgrade the motherboard and chip. Investing in liquid cooling for my dinosaur just isn't worth it. Might get one for the new system.
