  1. Thanks for the explainer. I guess baring no "symlinking" or "subst" then XML editing would be the fix. Yeah, IDT it's unusual for rom collections to outgrow drives, at least it's happened to me over the years.
  2. If the following directory (Game R:\teknoparrot\UserProfiles) does not exist, when you try to enter this menu, launch box will throw an exception and quit out with no option to correct the directory. I'd prefer the program allow me to remap the directory or show a little error icon next to the problematic directory and not just quit to the void. Thanks, Ryan
  3. That's it. Thanks! So reimport with the region priority set or do I have to delete out the arcade section and reimport to get the right title?
  4. I noticed some titles that used to be there are now missing. After trying to single-file import the title, the thing that allows it to come in is "skip duplicates" even though (frustratingly) the duplicate doesn't appear in the menu. I pulled the DB backup and found the entry of one of these titles (below). Seems like it is coming in without a title at one time? Is the best approach to delete everything and start over with a mame import or is there another way to clear title-less imports (I'm assuming there are others). <AdditionalApplication> <GogAppId /> <OriginAppId /> <OriginInstallPath /> <Id>fab4edf8-2887-493d-89d2-c04064233d29</Id> <PlayCount>0</PlayCount> <PlayTime>0</PlayTime> <GameID>1cd27a06-0e53-4b98-884e-3bbdd7b5d38f</GameID> <ApplicationPath>R:\roms\mame-261\contra.zip</ApplicationPath> <AutoRunAfter>false</AutoRunAfter> <AutoRunBefore>false</AutoRunBefore> <CommandLine /> <Name>Play (US / Asia, set 1) Version...</Name> <UseDosBox>false</UseDosBox> <UseEmulator>true</UseEmulator> <WaitForExit>false</WaitForExit> <ReleaseDate>1987-01-01T00:00:00-05:00</ReleaseDate> <Developer /> <Publisher>Konami</Publisher> <Region>World</Region> <Version>(US / Asia, set 1)</Version> <Status>good</Status> <EmulatorId>bb819518-4511-4c30-a3bf-7f34da18a4c4</EmulatorId> <SideA>false</SideA> <SideB>false</SideB> <Priority>2</Priority> <HasCloudSynced>false</HasCloudSynced> </AdditionalApplication>
  5. nope, it's from mame.dev, I ran the command on the command line, looks clean. I can post it the generated file. I ended up using the launchbox installed mame, something that makes me a bit nervous since I don't want to loose all the controller mappings and per-game overrides. It DOES import correctly. I need to google about to figure out what I actually want to do, which is update my mame set from .261 to .279 preferablly without reimporting art.
  6. still the same error, there's not much to the error to really guide what's wrong or what's next.
  7. What to do? I see no valid path forward except a patch.
  8. I want the old interface with the list that says "console" and "arcade" not this. How do I get rid of it? Thanks, Ryan
