I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this and while some of it is working, I don't completely understand it.
I'm running Launchbox/Bigbox and Sunshine on my gaming computer. Moonlight on my Nvidia Shield Pro. I was originally only using a Bluetooth Xbox controller but with different systems/controller configurations, I wanted to start using controllers that match each system a little closer as far as where the buttons are located and how they are labeled.
My first question is around the initial configuration and just want to make sure I am doing it correctly. I pair my Bluetooth Xbox controller to the gaming computer, set up the controller in the emulator, test a game launching directly from the emulator. All is good. Launch BigBox on the gaming computer and run a game, all is good.
I disconnect the controller from the computer and then go pair it with the Nvida Shield. For the most part, I believe this is working alright. I'm just confused about what I need to do to make it work consistently. Does the controller just need to be on and connected to the Shield at the point that BigBox is launched via the Moonlight app or do I need to kill the BigBox session and restart it?
Lets say I'm playing a Xbox game, I leave the game and then decide I want to play PS3 ... Should I have to do anything other than turn on the PS3 controllers prior to launching the game? As long as they connect to the Shield via Bluetooth (and assuming they are set up in the emulator), everything else should work, correct?
If anyone has a better way to manage this, please let me know. I read something about using an application called VirtualHere, but I'm not sure if that is going to help my situation or not.
