I always assumed the bezels were strictly tied to RocketLauncher configs and didn't know per-game fades were that flexible. Might actually try setting up a few custom ones now.

You might need to go into the Options, then Big Box, then Images, and see what's listed in the priority order for the 'Background' image type. Make sure 'Fanart - Background' is higher up on the list than 'Screenshot - Gameplay' or 'Box - Front'.
