  1. How did you make "magazines" in Rocket Launcher?
  2. Currently, I am using my laptop ASUS N550JK. PROCESSOR / CHIPSET CPU Intel Core i7 (4th Gen) 4700HQ / 2.4 GHz Max Turbo Speed 3.4 GHz Number of Cores Quad-Core Cache 6 MB Chipset Type Mobile Intel HM86 Express Features Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 RAM Memory Speed 1600 MHz Configuration Features 1 x 8 GB Technology DDR3L SDRAM Installed Size 8 GB Graphics Processor NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M - 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM I also use Smart Defrag because my SDD lacks space for LB/BB. The CPU can be boosted to 3,4 GHz if needed.
  3. That's awesome I also found some related issues/ideas on bitbucket: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3097/feature-request-show-other-platforms-on https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/488/grouping-games So if you are interested, you can always vote Drag files he
  4. Let me share my experience on this. With over 26.000 games in the library, Big Box was pretty unusable for me. I did: - Installed the codecs suggested in the first post of this thread. - Set Nvidia drivers to use GPU on Bigbox.exe (not auto setting) Things work pretty well now. Sometimes a bit of stuttering when loading playlists, but generally very usable and smooth - with background video and music LB is still slow, though.
  5. Manual work is not worth the effort, I think. I have currently over 26,000 games in the library and this could easily go up So too much work - probably not possible to handle Big Box performance has improved. I did a few things and it works very smoothly. LB is still pretty slow, however.
  6. Thanks for your ideas. I mean, not all related games in the details panel, but the feature that Mobygames gives us:
  7. @heelsinc Yeah, that's pretty what I thought about, too. @SentaiBrad Yeah, that could lead us to some unrelated games. However, if LB detects those games within our own library, this would be rather rare. LB could simply inform us - a game with this title exists on the following platforms - related or unrelated. LB would detect and tell me if a game exists on other platforms in my library - it could display it in the details panel. Mobygames does this, but the data was added manually, so the data is reliable.
  8. The idea is simple. One entry to decrease the number of games and improve the performance. I have 20 games Mario Bros on different platforms. With other games, it multiplies by thousands of entries. And I need to keep those games because each one is different - sound, graphics etc. But this affects performance. A good thing would be a solution, which allows us to actually see that a particular game exists on other platforms, too. Maybe in the details panel with links to those games? Currently, I must search all games to see if a game exists on other platforms. Maybe not crucial thing, but at least convenient.
  9. I thought this would increase performance and decrease the number of different games per different platform. I have many games on different platforms. The title is the same, but it's on a different platform. How about combining them into one title with the possibility to keep different descriptions, videos, images etc. The first released game would be a default one. The rest of the platforms could be chosen from the menu, which would display available platforms and games' release dates on those platforms. Then after choosing a version, the details panel would load up a new description, video... You know the idea... but I don't know how realistic or possible the idea is...
  10. Fantastic! How did you do it to streamline the process? I have around 14,000 of C64 games imported from GB. I still need to fill up the gaps, too. Maybe together we could make it all GB games?
    Fantastic work!

    Amazing work!
  12. It's a time-consuming chore to me. There should be a way to import a list from a txt file or something like that.
  13. Yeah, thanks a lot.
  14. Not really. I turned off those back covers in LB settings, but now I am getting front covers over the video. Besides, I need back covers in LB, so I cannot turn them off. It's a very nice theme, but it should also include a video window because images cover the videos - basically just the same as in the default BigBox theme.
