  1. EDIT: Was trying to figure out ways to show controls nicely. Figured out I can just do a custom game details view and disable everything but Play and have my image show. The other thing I was attempting to get working was a pause theme. I ran into a couple issues with this: 1. Unless I disable suspend with GroovyMame, Big Box crashes. With suspend disabled pause themes work but unfortunately the stuttery audio from the emulator in the background isn't very elegant. 2. The big issue is with a 240p display, no matter what I seem to do my pause screen fills the display in seemingly random fashion. Copy pasting this view to startup themes or elsewhere works fine, it's limited entirely to pause themes.
  2. Thanks that worked perfect. Other than the theme creator crashing anytime you try to do anything to the index while in the viewbox haha. I was able to adjust it outside the viewbox then move it inside and it worked perfect.
  3. I actually can rotate it no problem editing the XAML directly, but I can't seem to reliably move or scale it. I'm guessing it's constrained by something but this is my first time working with these themes so I'm not seeing it at the moment.
  4. Thanks for the responses. I found a simple solution that works in my case. Just created a confirm orientation screen in the platform view that just shows some graphics and up down joystick symbols. Seems elegant enough and gave me a chance to color match graphics to my cabinet.
  5. Is there any way to rotate the game index 90 degrees? I've made a vertical theme for my cabinet however the only thing I can't seem to have rotate is the game index.
  6. I'm currently setting up a cabinet with a rotating screen, I've made a vertical view for my theme and can just press a button to switch views. What I want is to have a vertical and horizontal category for my games, and with 1 button press it changes to the other category. These will be the only 2 categories on my system. Is there an existing function that could accomplish this task? Thank you.
  7. Oh that's a good option, it'll be nice to have vert games in their own category anyways since it's not like I'll want to flip the screen every single game. I'll probably have to make my own theme I'd guess, not the end of the world. Though I'd imagine I'll end up turning that into a big project given how I end up down rabbit holes.
  8. Thanks, that should be good enough for me, I can just bind it to one of my service buttons. It would be nice if I could have a hotkey select a specific theme without the submenu, but this will work well enough.
  9. I'm currently in the process of building a cabinet with a 240p screen on a rotation mechanism. I'm wondering if big box has any options to change themes on button press, or anything built in for rotation? I'm not finding anything in the settings or searching. I'd like to use Big Box as I'm used to it and find it very user friendly, however this is a bit of a deal breaker if there is no support for this. If there are no built in options, does anyone have a solution they've come up with?
  10. Bumping this post as I still haven't been able to figure this out, I have replicated this issue on several systems now as well with fresh installations.
  11. I'm having an odd issue someone might be able to help me with. I've recently built a MAME cabinet and everything seems to be working great, except now if I unplug my wireless keyboard Big Box will not launch Retroarch, it just goes from loading to game over. If I plug the keyboard back in it works as intended. The games work with or without the keyboard connected if I launch Retroarch on it's own. Any ideas? Thank you.
