  1. Most people (not all) have Platform view when starting up.  The problem with Attract Mode is that the Time Between Movements also applies to Platforms, not just games within those platforms.  If you have longer game videos such as 30 seconds, then you have to view Platforms for that long too, which I don't believe most people would want.

    Possible Solution-

    -  Allow shorter view time when Big Box switches between Platforms, while allowing longer time for view of games.

I would really love Attract mode to scroll through all games in all Platforms without selecting All Games as the default view.  This would give a far better chance for random games coming up especially for those that don't have 1000's of games.

    -  All Games view could be a solution but it doesn't retain Remember Separate View For Each Platform.  So my Arcade games show Arcade Marquee, but my SNES games show a box.  In All Games view, it shows the Default View, so it makes viewing All Games look ugly.

    -  Don't allow same Platform or Game to be shown twice in a row.  I don't know how many times I see the same platform or game come up again after a spin.  It's really uncanny.  At least have logic of "if same as last spin add 1 (or 2)". Better logic would be to create random list each view change, and not allow duplicate.

    -  And finally-  Allow finer control of Time Between Movements.  I spent about a bajillion hours creating custom videos of all my games at 30 seconds each.  The issue is, I didn't account for the wheel spin time.  So my videos start over for a few seconds before going to next game.  Not a big deal, but I believe this could be an easy implementation.

    Thank you.

  2. I would prefer my game lists to have 1 player, 2 player cooperative, 2 player vs.

I know default is single player, cooperative, and multiplayer, but several times I've had people over and they see the multiplayer tag  and think it's online multiplayer.

This would help simplify what I'm doing in the Community Theme Creator for my cab as it already has a "Play Mode" box that I can list what I've set for each game.

This is something i had in mind

I think it's looks nice and clean game wheel have game titles, gamepad, old monitor tv and the actual game as background but you can see the game fast

This is the look i would like be convertet to BB

Looks great with main wheel and the animation

I also think this line up takes up smaller space than Hyperspin?

That's exactly what I want. Although I would make the screens a little bigger for easier recognition.

Thanks - can that be localised to a playlist?

i.e. if i wanted a playlist of 'clones worth playing' or something?

I would like to do this too.  For same reason as I don't have right click ability in cab, nor do I want to right click and select a different version.  I just want it listed separately.

Even a duplicate option would be great and then just edit the name and which rom to launch.

  5. Using LaunchBox Premium- I just tried doing media for Arcade, Gamecube, and SNES.  Not a lot of titles, about 100 in all. Quite a few very popular titles just don't download media, especially front box art.

I have a lifetime subscription to EmuMovies.

Launchbox DB ID is correct on all roms (except BattleZone, which thinks it's Bradley Trainer)

Now I have to right click- select edit- select download media on about 1/4 of all roms.

    Why?

If the DB ID is correct and I can click on it and view all the media, why doesn't it download the media when running through wizard?

Also, every time I go through metadata and media wizard, and select 'Yes, but do not replace any existing fields or media', I see quite a few titles just have their data removed!!

Doesn't matter if I uncheck prioritize images over LaunchBox Games Database and Wikipedia.

Well while it being a superior game is definitely subjective as its his list his subjectivity would be reflected if it bothers you so much just add the game manually.

Understood.  Just a weird remark considering Asteroids is in the top 10 of all lists for top Arcade games and is probably the 3rd most well known arcade game behind pac-man and donkey-kong.

Asteroids Deluxe is in there which is the superior game.

?  No offense but that is debatable.  That's like saying Blasteroids is superior to Asteroids Deluxe because it's newer, or any other example for that matter.

I've never seen a list without it.  And if you were old enough to be in the arcades, most people navigated to Asteroids over Asteroids Deluxe.
