Go to tools manage platform. Edit a platform go to the parent tab uncheck console and just check root you will of course have to do so for each console individually but it will give you what you want in the platform categories section.

I'm not at home right now so I can't test this to confirm it.  But I believe what you need to do is change the bigbox default startup view to platform categories instead of platforms.  Then you should see Arcade and Playlist.  The sub cetegories you're referring to are in the playlist section.   If I remember correctly, that should do the trick.

    Thank you for the reply:)

That is what i want, the only thing diferent i wanted to do, was leave everything else in the main menu, just have the arcade  one that moves to the diferente sub menu and all others directly.

    Something like this:

    Arcade

          -Namco

         - Midway

         - Neo-Geo

         -  ...

    Nes

    Snes

    Genesis

    ...

Something like that.. when i enable the categories, the other get moved under the Consoles category, any way to avoid that and make it exclusive to Arcade one?

    Thank you so much:)

  3. Hi,

Not sure if i can do this but, when i added the MAME romset, Launchbox categorizes it under the Arcade tab (Action Beat-em-up, etc).

When using bigbox i get a main Arcade menu for all of them, and when i select it it displays all of the roms and no categories, any way i can select árcade and jump to a sub menu with the categories instead of the full rom list?

    Thank you

  4. Hey

I have looked in the fórum and found na old post mentioning this (2 years old), but i am still now sure if this is already possible, or if there is a work-around.

All i wanted to do is from within LaunchBox or BigBox, if i want to remove a rom completely (not just the info/image), can i do it from within LB/BB? Roms are in own Dir not in LB Dir BTW.

Thank you so much for any help:)
