For me it was a MAME plugin update, just a couple of days before. And about one week before that, there were 3 oder 4 updates, but I don't remember which ones they had been.

And ... another plugin update today. I've got 14 different Launchbox Instances up and running, which definitely don't use any of the plugins. Now I have to update all plugins in all 14 instances .. again. And again and again. I hate this notification sound when I start launchbox and there is another plugin update again. Meanwhile, I feel afraid to start launchbaox at all - always having to fear, there is yet another useless update which then takes a lot of time to get rid of. Again. And again. I just don't understand the reason why I am not allowed to turn this notification off. It's beyond my imagination.

I could understand if you enabled notifications by default so that inexperienced users don't unwittingly run into problems. However, I am not inexperienced, and for me, the lack of an option to disable these notifications is unbearably patronizing. I don't need any of the plugins. The messages come frequently and are extremely annoying. Really. Extremely. Annoying. Why don't you just add a checkbox to turn them off in the options? It would be very little effort for you, and for me (and certainly many other users) it would be an incomparable blessing for which I would praise you forever!
