  1. Setting up TeknoParrot for my retro YT channel ( www.youtube.com/@GentlemensPixelClub ) if anyone is interested and found a bug in TeknoParrot I believe.

    Previously in older versions of TeknoParrot I have five games setup and just went to setup Sega Rally 3 which would use SR3.XML.
    When launching, the game just loaded the TeknoParrot GUI and nothing happened.
    Deleted a previous working game ( Virtua Tennis 4 ) and readded, exactly the same problem. 

    My game roms are on a separate  disk and I am using the bottom option when importing which basically says leave in original location.

    I have done a check of the ArcadePC.XML and it looks like the import is now missing a step...

    On a working game we have...

    <ApplicationPath>..\..\Emulation 2023\TeknoParrot\GameProfiles\GtiClub3.xml</ApplicationPath>
    <CommandLine>--profile=GtiClub3.xml</CommandLine>
    <Completed>false</Completed>

    ...on Sega Rally 3 and Virtua Tennis 4, they both added to the data - but the <CommandLine>X</CommandLine> was missing.

    Once imported...

    <ApplicationPath>..\..\Emulation 2023\TeknoParrot\GameProfiles\SR3.xml</ApplicationPath>
    <Completed>false</Completed>

    ...I then edited it to...

    <ApplicationPath>..\..\Emulation 2023\TeknoParrot\GameProfiles\SR3.xml</ApplicationPath>
    <CommandLine>--profile=SR3.xml</CommandLine>
    <Completed>false</Completed>

    ...and worked fine.

    Not sure if anybody else has seen this and not sure where to report a bug ( and a resolution ).  Running Windows 11 as well, happy to provide anything needed on my setup if this is an isolated bug.

    I did try searching - some of the problems is understanding the termonolgy of what you are looking for with a new platform.  It's been years since I used a front end and without being disrespectful, my god, things have moved on since mGalaxy.

    Thank you for your help on this.  For instance, to newbies AHK means nothing - that could be an external program like MOUSEMOVE it could be an internal function.  I actually really do hate asking and look forward to having been here some while when I can actually give back a little ( bar the registration I paid ).

    I have one "final" problem left with Launchbox and my fantastic journey - Sega Model 2 emulation.

    I am trying to have a keyboard-free experience and I simply can't exit the game.  I've looked at the Auto Hot Key scripts and tried to manipulate the few examples of this to work for me - when I hit JOY7, I want it to simulate ESC so it exits the emulator as I can't redefine that key within the emultor - seems not possible.

    Am I actually trying to do something that cannot be done - I'd rather suffer the ESC key if it's not possible to do and enjoy the fantastic Launchbox rather then waste time what cannot be fixed.

    I've spent about 5 hours on it in total - and just banging my head against a wall.

    Thanks in advance for anyone that can tell me to either stop or point me in the right direction.

    Is there a script available to exit the Sega Model 2 emulator ?

    I would like to send ESC when I press the Switch View button on my XBOX one controller.  Trying to get a keyboard free expereince here.

  5. My second question on day #1.

    This one is slightly annoying as I've been searching hi and lo for an answer to use the search and learn, but I am not even sure what the right thing I should be asking.

    I've setup MAME, one with the Retroarch version for a couple of games I like that play better in this then then other versions of Mame.  On the retroarch version, when I quit I get this screen.  This looks like part of the UI for Mame - is there anything I can do to avoid this ?

    Thanks again and sorry to ask - but I simply cannot find the answer or the right way to ask the question in searching.

  6. Hi There,

    Firstly thank you for such a great product - it was simply a no-brainer to register within minutes.

    I have a quick question using Fuse on the Sinclair Spectrum if I may.

    The Specturm was a computer with mainly a keyboard - is there anyway to configure FUSE to understand key presses for the Sincalir Spectrum from the keyboard for some games the require it - an onscreen keyboard is not going to be good enough TBH.
