Make sure your arcade roms are in zip format and everything else is either in 7z format or uncompressed. None of your roms must be in ZSTD zip/7z format as the RAHasher doesnt support ZSTD yet.

Same exact set-up for years, no changes in archival format or file names. Not the first time I've had non-reproducible RA issues during the beta cycle that resolve after a later update.

  2. Hate to exclusively be the RetroAchievements guy, but in the latest beta on my end it nothing at all is hashing. Doubled-checked successful login (even logged out and back in with no issue). Achievements still load inside the emulator for applicable games, but LB's hasher just isn't catching anything.

Don't know if it's a related hasher issue, but noticed in the last full scan for the previous beta, the total number of games in the generated RA playlist was significantly lower than prior scans (by at least 300). Newly added RA sets haven't been catching for a while (going back a week or two?). Going down that same playlist now and after sampling multiple games on every platform, nothing is pulling up achievements. Afraid a new scan will just wipe out the list entirely.

Last RAweb update was a week ago, and there were no platform name changes.

After performing a RetroAchievements rescan of NES, SNES and Genesis, the achievements vanished. I checked the xml of the affected platforms and the hashes are fine. This happened in the beta 4, I reinstalled beta 3, performed another rescan and the achievements reappeared.

Similar issue here, only it's PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 and PC Engine CD/TurboGrafx-CD (at least that I've noticed) missing again. Same systems were reported  a few months ago and fixed, tried a forced database update and they're still not hashing.

I believe at one point after my previous post, this was fixed again but it currently a problem now.  Achievements are showing for other consoles, but anything related to TurboGrafx-16 or TurboGrafx CD are not scanning and showing.  Just wanted to make you aware.

Both platforms are hashing fine on my end. Have you double-checked your exact scraping ("NEC TurboGrafx-16" and "NEC TurboGrafx CD")? Doesn't look like RA did any platform name revisions for the recent Turbo DevJam.

  5. New issue when importing ROMs: added a few manually across a couple different platforms with no issue, then a prompt came up during  an import asking to install Retroarch. The other option (configure your own) at first looks to bypass this but when the game is about to be added, a "downloading/installing Retroarch" progress bar appears anyway. Cancelling this completely freezes the program, requiring it to be terminated. Restart, retry and the same thing happens.

The frustrating thing is I already do have Retroarch (updated at least once a week), all cores up-to-date and configured for each platform. It's pretty much been the same set-up for years. I don' know why this particular platform (a custom-made MSU-1 scraping Super Nintendo) is pulling a "need RA" flag when there's never been a problem. Is there a new setting option that I'm missing that disables the RA/Dolphin download feature (like the recently added ROM auto add) ?

If it comes down to having to let LB do its own RA install, will I lose all my existing platform configurations?

  6. Did a full achievement scan earlier and noticed a massive decrease in total supported games. Only certain systems are affected: TG-16, Turbo CD, NES, SNES and Genesis. Looking at the RA site, it appears they've changed those specific system listings to include regional name variations . Sega's 16-bit machine is now "Genesis/Mega Drive" instead of just "Mega Drive", and so on. Thinking this may be the reason for the hash failure?
