Fusion AND Snes9x no sound on big box

I am new to big box, not Launchbox and just installed big box. It looks like a lot of fun until there isn’t any sound for snes or genesis roms.

Mame will work but if you load one of these and get no sound.  Then mame games won’t either.  Everything plays fine in their respective  emulators but not in Big box or Launch box.  Please help.
