'Arrange By Release Date' in BigBox?

I've been spending some time trying to sort my games in BigBox like I have them in LaunchBox: ordered by their date of release.
The only solution I've found thus far is to create a playlist, but... displaying a playlist in BigBox removes the visual flair from the custom theme I'm running.

So, my question: is it possible to sort games in BigBox by release date?
