Big box launches but themes not animating

Hi,

 

I 

Installed BigBox as over a Windows 8 OS. I upgraded to Windows 10 but the themes and sounds don't seem to be working when Big box is Launched (Downloaded several new themes). Does windows need to be activated for Big box to work properly? I have painfully had to format hard drive loosing dozens of emulators :( I would be greaful if anyone could help. Thank you.
