Mayflash GameCube Adapter PC vs. Wii U/NS Mode

I am using the Mayflash GameCube Controller Adapter with the hope of being able to both navigate the Big Box interface as well as control my GameCube games through Dolphin using a GameCube controller. The adapter has a switch located on the back, where one position is "PC" and the other is "Wii U / NS"

This issue I'm having is that I am only able to navigate Big Box while the switch is set to "PC", and only able to control Dolphin/my games when the switch is set to "Wii U/NS." As you can imagine this is not ideal, as I do not want to have to physically switch from one to the other every time I want to play a GameCube game.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated; I'm thinking it's more likely to get BigBox to recognize the Controller when it's in "Wii U/NS" mode as opposed to getting Dolphin to work while in "PC" mode, but I have little understanding of what the actual issue is here so open to whatever works.
