WizardsCastle
Hey everyone, First post here. My awesome cousin made me an arcade cabinet, and set everything up for me with Launchbox. I'm trying to figure it all out right now, but there is definitely a lot to go through. I bought a N64 controller on Amazon, and I'm trying to figure out how I can configure the button in RetroArch, without throwing off my controller setting for my cabinet joystick and buttons. I just install Parallel, which I believe it an improved engine for running N64? How would I go about just configuring the controller for N64 games? And, how do I know what emulators are running what consoles? How can I tell what Retroarch is curently controlling? I know when I go to run a N64 game through BigBox (whatever loads automatically when I turn on my PC) it gives me the option to select 3 different apps to run the N64 game. How can I make sure that ParaLLEL is the default? Appreciate any and all help with this. Thanks!
WizardsCastle
Can anyone help me with this? I'm running Big Box, and I'm trying to figure out how to calibrate a N64 USB controller I bought on Amazon, without messing up the settings for my two arcade joysticks and buttons. Tamashii
I can chime in about the default emulator. In LaunchBox, if you right click a game the third option from the top is "Launch with...". This should give you a view of all associated emulators. To change default, go to Tools > Manage Emulators > select your emulator and hit Edit > Associated Platforms tab. List your platform there and check the box for the Default column. Without the Default box checked the emulator will still be listed in LaunchBox and BigBox's 'Launch with...', but will not be used by default. Tamashii
Launch a game and configure your controls. After configuring your controller in Retroarch in Quick Menu > Controls, hit 'Save core remap file' in Controls.
