remedius Posted July 8, 2020 Share Posted July 8, 2020 Hi guys, I'm a happy user of lauchbox (and bigbox) for about a year. My roms collection are stored on a nas and my pc and my coinop are configured to access network folders. After updating to version 11, I started having a problem with the function Download Metadata and Media... To complete the missing media of my emulators, I select all the roms of a system and start the function Download Metadata and Media... Sometimes and without a reason, LB stop working with this error message : unable to check files in this folder: "path to my nas folder" Please check that you have the correct permissions to read the specified folder and that the path to the folder is valid. This may also indicate a symptom of hard disk or file system failure. Launchbox cannot continue. Unexpected network error My PC and my coinop are on Windows 10. I have made some test and finally i have found the problem : Windows Defender Antivirus When I disable the real time protection, everything works perfectly. I don't know if it can be an antivirus update or something related LB 11. I hope this post can help someone else with my same problem.
