Mame locks up after exiting game "FIXED"

 Been working fine so not sure if the latest update caused it.

if I click on a game that mame loads,  it loads fine and can play the game.

soon as I exit it the screen goes back and then locks up, need to hard reboot .

using windows 10 with the latest mame.
