Disc Error when using DOSBOX-X

Has anyone had any issues with the above when running the latest version of DOSBox-X on Windows 10 64 bit? When playing Hezarin or Acheton and running the .com file  (DOS version from IFDB) it plays and saves ok for a while then suddenly replies "Disc Error-press any key when ready" randomly i.e. when typing INV or Examining an object. All save slots have full read / write access as does the installation and save paths and full admin access. This never happened on my old Windows 7 machine.
