Guest
A little post to lay out all my production from last year although quite present in the community most of them went unnoticed and yet gods is that I was invested, so I leave it a little trace of what was done while waiting to upload some when my connection allows it (I did a failed test on the zelda too heavy and corrupted file) DonxIt's by seeing the retro become almost inaccessible (price, rarity etc) but also the physical market undermined, the idea to therefore emerge little by little... Why not try to transpose little by little what one could/could feel by browsing a physical collection in... Virtual by using the frontends (or launcher) and by gravitating around everything related to them/ our respective saga...And give it a resolutely "collectible" aspect So the idea was to create an interface (running on Launchbox pc), or a graphic envelope allowing you to launch all the games of a saga, in a top atmosphere! Completely devoid of games... :° (for a minimum of risk and to remain in the fan made aspect) There would only be my job. You are free to add then to integrate your paths, your steam games or others. And it wouldn't be a real collection without added value so there were plenty of bonus sections planned 🙂 A few months later I released the first completely independent big box, diverting it from its classic use and dedicating it to my favorite saga. :Zelda Ultima! 7 months of work but in total it's a project that matured for 4 years... And here is the purpose: Alone like a grown-up, I had achieved the unthinkable by creating and starting from scratch a 2K interface with a collection-oriented aspect, fifteen different views that not only worked but also remained fluid! (And creating my own media.) I am still very proud of it today because it is "the first" and it was far from being the only project I had in mind... I was launched and what I didn't know was that I was going to go even further! You want to know more? This is the making of 4 short months later and galvanized by the feedback for the Zelda Ultima, I was working on the new Ultima and this time I was going to completely change register since I was going to tackle the horific saga of capcom: RESIDENT EVIL So cover the entire saga by creating a launch video theme for each game, an icon, and a good dozen views (if possible with jumps scare) and the entire interface. Background and animated interface changing according to the title (atmosphere and animated characters.) ° Easter eggs and tutti quanti. ° Fan made veronica code remake, °version 1.5 of RE2, (unofficial) ° Lifted version of psx episodes, (patches) ° Real-time visit of the spencer mansion (playable) and the police station via unreal engine 4months later/ For once here I really let loose on the themes with things that we are not used to seeing... That's almost 10 views in total 4 vertical / 3 horizontal for games and 3 "main different categories" +3 bonus part! Very happy with the tree, no doubt zelda ultima skeleton helped me a lot! (Zelda ultima 7 months of development vs Resident 4 months!) For once I was far from being satisfied! And if there was a saga that was close to my heart it was that of Castlevania... But this time it was still necessary to go up a notch in terms of real.. Of course there had already been compilations but the one I was about to design would be the most complete! (Always in respect of the publishers (so no games) the series even if in the closet today, let's remember, has a very special aura. It is also renowned for the quality of its music. In the meantime, my "Skill" on cinema 4D went into sayajin mode since I was now (through use) producing any background or media with my little hands! (and all that freewheeling without forma in mode I learn from my mistakes) Launch themes from another dimension.. It's the least we can say since taking advantage of the strength of the pieces and all the musical identity of castlevania I was not going to bother me, the opportunity was too good! It won't please everyone but they know the house now and it has the merit of bringing something different and then it puts it in the background without any problem on a Friday evening. So I decided to create backgrounds based on the universe of the saga. To animate them afterwards and give them a lively side Clearly at this level of production I began to realize that I was in terms of production located very close to an editor. And I still had a lot under my feet. Who cares! It was purely a fan made and it will stay! I have integrated a function that allows you to play with a card that I animated in the second screen demo here live! And how does a game at launch go? And here is the result after 4 months of work! More than a dozen different views of content that overflows and I hope relevant I have also integrated original features in short, don't do things by halves! They are almost plug and play (remains to integrate your games / roms)! Basically it brings together everything that has been officially and unofficially released: 4K patch when it exists, trads, music making-of mods etc... Creation of a dedicated interface... In short, I put the small dishes in the big ones for gave a truly collectible look! For the gamer who is frustrated at not being able to pick up the originals, or who doesn't have the time or the means to have it all hard (And god knows the prices of retro games have gone completely crazy today! ), it is thought of as a collection, so a lot of research and design work on the visuals, the animations to come out with something close to what an editor could do! 🙂 I do everything myself to be as much as possible in the original and do something new and never seen! And especially that you will not find anywhere else! already at the 3rd Update! ) To be continued... Here the plan for the Ultima edition 2023 !
