Can't exit game from pause screen in pcsx2

Working on my controller bindings and am having trouble figuring this out. I am able to get the pause screen to launch and create a save state but when i select exit game nothing happens. It closes the pause screen and returns to the game still running. Works fine when running retroarch but not pcsx2. Anyone have the same issue?

I was able to resolve my issue by resetting my autohotkey scripts. I must have messed it up somehow
