darrin1063
Having so many cross platform games on Steam, I'd love to setup (pseudo) systems for PS4, PS5, and XBOX One platforms. Does anyone here have any of these wheels setup? If so, how would you map the games and set that up?
Nomar1245
I'm doing this right now. I'm going to import games like any Steam game, then when it asks What platform are you importing games for I'm going to call it Microsoft XBOX 360 HD but scrape as Microsoft XBOX 360. I just started importing 360 games when I realized I have many of them on Steam and they will likely run better there anyway. Most support 360 controllers so that bit is covered, but Steam will allow me choose my controller anyway. I can then disable to Steam overlay and should be able to launch them from a Microsoft XBOX 360 HD wheel no problem. I could also combined them with my Microsoft XBOX 360 wheel if I wanted to combine them but I think it'll be better this way for testing and keeping things separate long term. This is all theoretical at this point, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. I should end up with Windows games that have the media and metadata of a 360 game. I'll report back in a bit though once my testing is complete. You could then repurpose the workflow for any other system. Update: It works: There are only a few other things to consider. First, if you want the artwork to scrape correctly, you may find slim pickings for something like PS5. I could be wrong as I haven't tried it myself, but just a thought I had. Second, if your Launchbox computer is different than your primary computer, you'll have a choice to make. Cloud sync or no cloud sync. My build is in an arcade cabinet and the monitor is much lower resolution than my primary computer. My cab also has lower specs, because it plays old games and has a low resolution monitor. I disable cloud sync so I don't have my display settings syncing between computers. This means no game save sync either, but I'm okay with that. However, it all works, kind of as expected. Now I can make myself PS7, XBOX Ultra, Switch Pro, and GameCast wheels. Edited August 2, 2023 by Nomar1245
