Supermodel/Model 3 emulator and quad rendering question

Hi, can someone please explain the benefits of enabling Quad rendering?

Reason being, I am using one of the higher end mini pcs for emulation and from all the Model 3 games I regularly play, it can handle them all at 1080p with QR turned on no worries, however with LA Machineguns it struggles, whenener there is an explosiom (which is quite often), the game slows to a crawl, then speeds up, then slow - hardly playable. Dropping it to 720p with QR fixes the issue, but then my lightgun is all borked cause it doesn't match my desktop res. Anyway, leaving it at 1080p with QR off, the game runs at a solid 60fps the whole time and I'm struggling to see a difference visually.

So now I have LA Machineguns set as the only game to have QR disabled and everything works fine. I know the original hardware uses QR, but in the grand scheme of things, does it really make a difference?

I dont have a new high end pc here but something old and LA MAchinegun runs good 1080p with QR enabled.

I set PowerPCFrequency = 100 and have no issue with all model 3 games I play.

Thanks for the reply. I did play around with the frequency, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference, for me at least. I have it set to 75 for all games.

Unless it's something to do with the AMD APU (Ryzen 7 7735HS), what CPU/GPU are you running?

It only seems to be LA Machineguns which has issues, every other game runs fine with QR enabled.
