Mr S Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 (edited) Hi, Do I need to do something extra to get these games to work in Retroarch? So far I have only got launchbox to add them. The games 'load' then nothing happens. Ive seen videos saying Bios needed, but I cant find anything later than 5 years a go and its relative to either standalone emulators. I have downloaded Bios, just need to know what to do with it. Apologies for being a noob Edited November 13, 2023 by Mr S Quote
zombob Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 On retroarch, you need to find where you installed the program on your computer, within that directory you should see a folder called "system" All your bios files should go in there. However, you should use PCSX2 emulator to play PS2 games and not retroarch. In that emulator, look to the top of the screen to where it says settings, then select bios option. From there you need to define the folder where you have the bios saved on your computer. The error you are seeing is mostly likely because of the emulator not being set up and not a launchbox error. Daedlast Posted Saturday at 03:27 AM Posted Saturday at 03:27 AM (edited) I can run PS2 games in PCSX2 but not in Retroarch, even though I am using the same BIOS files for both. However, I can only run 2 PS2 games in Launchbox and every other new PS2 game that I put in that same folder can't load up in Launchbox for some reason. Also, my controller works great in PCSX2 and Retroarch, but it doesn't work at all in Launchbox. Can anyone help me with any of this? Edited Saturday at 03:28 AM by Daedlast Quote
