Automatic import doesn't go into subdirectories?

Launchbox has been my go to for a few years now, what a game changer, and I am loving the recent automatic import integration, but have found that some entries are not importing depending on where they are placed. 

after some testing, it looks like the importer doesn't scan "deep enough" into my games directory.

I have set up my collection by Platform/release type/game title/ROM file.

if the ROM file is higher up in the file structure (under release type), Launchbox imports successfully.

Is it possible to increase the number of subdirectories that the importer trawls reads please?
