w00master
Hey everyone- I've scoured the boards and google on this, but I cannot figure out what's going on here. Everything works in Mame - but the trackball and dial do not work in LaunchBox/BigBox. Regarding the INI file, I have 2 instances of Mame on my Launchbox - the first one (no version number for some reason?) had the mame.ini file in the same directory as mame.exe. In my other Mame folder (version 0.264) - for some reason there was no mame.ini file in the main folder. When I "looked" for it in the /ini folder - there wasn't one in there? So "stupidly" (?) I went to the original MAME folder, copied the mame.ini file from there and copied it to the 0.264 folder as well. Still no avail. I'm clearly doing something wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edit: as an update, I checked the MAME Input Devices screen (Through BigBox), and mouse isn't being detected. i've tripled check my mame.ini file - mouse is enabled: # # CORE INPUT OPTIONS # coin_lockout 1 ctrlr mouse 1 joystick 1 lightgun 0 multikeyboard 0 multimouse 0 steadykey 0 ui_active 0 offscreen_reload 0 joystick_map auto joystick_deadzone 0.15 joystick_saturation 0.85 joystick_threshold 0.3 natural 0 joystick_contradictory 0 coin_impulse 0 # # CORE INPUT AUTOMATIC ENABLE OPTIONS # paddle_device keyboard adstick_device keyboard pedal_device keyboard dial_device mouse trackball_device mouse lightgun_device keyboard positional_device keyboard mouse_device mouse Is my mame.ini file in the wrong directory? (Currently in the same directory as my mame.exe file. Additionally, I went ahead and recreated the config after deleting mame.ini and recreating it (mame -createconfig). Still same result. Shovelhed
The fix is to go to your launchbox folder open up emulator folder, open up mame and place your ini file in there. Boom it fixes the problem
