BMM Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Maybe an edge case, but when I connect via VPN (openVPN or Wireguard) to my NAS Launchbox can't find the share. But it can download roms that I have imported using the same network share when not using the VPN (i.e. directly connected to my home network). 1 Quote
Rockingdeath200 Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Were you able to resolve this issue? Funny enough I'm running into the same thing Quote

BMM Posted June 7 Author Posted June 7 No solution yet. Tried today. If I connect to my NAS over VPN I can access all files if I use the "My Files" app (samsung phone) so I CAN access my NAS drive. But under LaunchBox it can't find any network share. So I think (guessing) it must be something between LaunchBox and the VPN. Not sure. 1 Quote

Perhaps your port forwarding is messed up or something like in the firewall? Then again, if you stand that you're accessing your files from your phone; a real possibility is that Launchbox needs some optimization in that end Quote

But I once had Wireguard on a raspberryPI serving as VPN as well. In both cases I remember that I could access my NAS shares from My Files app in Samsung, but not from Launchbox. Other apps were working as well (ex. the synology apps for music, videos, photos, etc.). So (without being 100% sure) I would bet it may be something in Launchbox android app that is preventing reading the NAS shares while on VPN. Edited June 7 by BMM Quote
