Marquee Videos File size/resolution?

Is there a recommended for duration, file size, codec, and resolution for the Marquee? I'm getting lag.

I have a video marquee on my build, and I was making some custom videos to display for my Theme/Marquee simultaneously. The Marquee always lags behind the main display. I'm doing some testing with different resolutions, durations, etc and I was wondering if anyone else has figured this out before I go to deep.
